As a connoisseur of viewing instructional videos before doing any project, I found myself in need of this bushing replacement. After coming across this video, I must say it’s the most PERFECT instructional I’ve ever seen. However, it sadly appears this gentleman has disappeared from doing new content. Hopefully he’s just taken his prowess to a more profitable subject matter (he deserves it)!

Just did this job. For sure disconnect the sway bar and have the tires off the ground. Disconnect the power steering line brackets to give more free motion to the lines. No need to disconnect the tie rods and rent the clamp and adapters from an auto parts store as it made pressing the old ones a piece of cake.

Got any tips to squeeze them together to get just enoughengagement on the threads for the drop link top nut to just begin to secure it?

Pretty good job right there! My mustang sway bars I can twist them in my hand pretty easily but looking at this post makes me think that my clunk might be more than just them? I have no noticeable play in steering but a bam and clunk over manholes and railroad track? How do you check the bushing on the long sway bar???

Hey nice video! Just did my Toyota Aristo steering rack bushings today. Realise I forgot to grease the OUTSIDE of the D-shaped bushing. Is this likely an issue or might just be squeeky? I did notice the D wasn't quite fully closed when torquing to spec (48ftlbs)

you should be fine. I rally think they went way overboard on lubing these bushings in this vid because this part isnt supposed to move like a control arm would.. Every other video says to lube a tiny bit for installation ease, and not to lube for squeaks because as i said, the parts dont move that much.
