Hello. That number is not the engine code. See on the gray plate on the engine bay or the trunk floor. Is it a diesel or gasoline?

I was been mechanic in Alfa Romeo when these cars was sold and I need only one look for recognize the engines. 1500 have the idel motor (sorry for my english) positioned in front of the intake mainfold. 1300 have it on the top (like your). Hello and welcome! If you have snow and salt on your area, it can be a big issue. Make sure it's good underneath and near the hood hinges. The engine is good, but injectors often fail.

I am doing a flywheel job on my daughters Grande Punto Tjet and saw the rear main seal with a ever so slight weep. This video is a great explanation as I was thinking I might need to remove the sump which I would like to avoid as I only did a oil change last month. Nice job. Also great tip about removing the plastic tool on the seal. Now just to wait for my seal to arrive before I can finish the clutch job!

Beautiful car. I like it very much! I drove a 2.4 diesel once, great. At that moment I had a 156 Sportwagon 2.4 L 20V also very nice car to drive. Think about to buy a Thesis diesel or the 3.0 or 3.2 L What is your opinion? I live on Gran Canaria, never seen one here in 8 years. Greetings Willem

Very beautiful car indeed✨ I agree with you on Lancia needing to aim up. The Thesis is a top category car and they were doing this really well back then. I have a 21yrs old Lybra and even that car humiliates most of the modern cars with the reliability, space and luxury it has.

I have a Thesis in the same color, only under the hood 3.0V6. I hope to install 3.2 this year 😁 None of the Thesis versions have soft-close doors. There is only a soft-close boot lid. The electric handbrake is automatic, at least in the case of an automatic gearbox, it applies itself when stopped for a longer period (for example at a red light), and releases itself when you accelerate and start moving. After stopping and turning off the engine, it also starts up by itself. This function can be deactivated once in the radionavigator menu

Sometimes I take the 166 shopping but I always park it out at the very edge of the car park so it's less likely to be dinged by a door from another car. Most people don't give it a second glance but I do find an odd person looking and looking and looking! I bought it so I could experience the Busso for a while. I'd planned to sell it but it will be difficult. I've had all belts and gaskets done this year so that I knew someone would get a good car but I can't let go......so beautiful!

Wow, what a car. I didn't know anything about the Lancia Thetis before this video. It's way more sober than any luxury car I've seen. I wish they were more common and a sales success. But it seems not so. Why? Yes, I agree with you. Lancia needs its own market space. And Stellantis have no true luxury car brand. Lancia could aim up, but it have the history of rust and low quality. But still they should do luxary italian cars

May be from another video (this one I will watch latter) but the so called spacer for the fuel pump is bakelite (a particular type of plastic mostly used for electric parts like household switches as it is heat resistant, does not melt etc). Yet, I do not understand why is bakelite because it is supposed to do electrical insulation. But the fixing screws are conductors..

@alfaromeonoproblem The gearbox end of the exle is bad. The teeth at the end of the axle that go in the gearbox are the problem. That is what they said and showed me. I asked, and they said the complete axle. I will see if I can at least get the CV joint on the gearbox side. But they said to get a used axle...
