Life Saver!! I thought there was a serious issue with my brand new Subaru Outback .It happened to me yesterday and one of my friend some how turned it ON..Today the same thing happened and that too infront of a busy friday liquor store..Tried for an hour and called my friend to help me out..But they were out of town and I was on my way to work..Called Subaru Saskatoon and they told they it needed to be towed to Saskatoon which is about 300 km from Nipawin.. Felt angry coz my Chevy or Caliber never had a problem like this..Tried searching online,forums and at last in youtube and there you are..Great video..Really useful!! Thank you! Unlocked the steering wheel and ignition on F150. Unlike shown in this video, the wheel was locked solid with no give. Because of that, I was pretty sure that would end up having to resort to a mobile mechanic, then tried this method - and it worked! Had to really force the wheel, the movement was imperceptible, maybe a millimeter or two.

I just wanted to come here and thank you for fixing my car. VSC, track off and engine lights were flashing for 3 days on on my 2009 Pontiac vibe. I’m a girl and I barely know a thing about car so I panicked. I went to Auto parts they didn’t know what’s wrong with it. Went to another mechanic same thing but they charged me to try some stuff but told me it’s not guaranteed. I did everything u said but it was buying a new gas cap for $11.42 that did the trick. For those who couldn't get it to work like in the video. Spray WD-40 into the ignition. Push in and pull out your key several times and then put the key in and turn and it should work.
