Just FYI guys: a bolt cutter will cut through that small cable quickly, and/or drill a hole through that soft plastic that covers the seat belt and push a screwdriver down on the red release of the seat belt retainer and the cable is then mute. It should be made of larger cabling and the plastic housing should be made with reinforced fiber plastic with an anti-drill cover. That plastic could probably be crushed and split open with a #14-#16 channellocks squeezing it. The product has potential but they made it out of poor material. It really is steering wheel jewelry. Sorry, but just keep this in mind before buying.👊🏻

QUESTION: On the instruction manual, says that It is recommeded to adjust the seat position to lock tightly. Do they mean adjust the seat rail AWAY from the steering wheel, or get the seat CLOSER to the steering wheel???

It just means to make sure the chain isn’t drooping so you just want the seat as far back to where the yellow cable isn’t slacking. That’s so they can’t move the steering wheel and drive away even with the seatbelt lock on. Let me know if that makes sense ? Thanks for the comment hopefully that helps

I’m sure there is some way to cut the wire but they would have to have the tools required. It’s more or less a deterrent.

What's the odds of a car theif walking around with cutters? I use both this product and a peddle lock club on my car as well as the alarm system with GPS so I really feel secure now

I’m getting to lock my bag while inside my vehicle. I was just robbed from a smash & grab - WHILE I was pumping gas. I never left my vehicle. I locked my car. I put purse on passenger floor because my gas tank is on that side. The 💩🤬 smashed drivers window, came through broken window, grabbed purse, jumped out and into getaway car. Took 3 seconds total. Had my bag been locked to the car he may have ran off. I am soooooo mad!!

Which is exactly why I hook my bag through a seatbelt. Yes it can be easily undone by unbuckling but that extra few seconds it takes for the thief to figure out that the bag is buckled in can be the difference between keeping your bag or losing it to theft.

I think a dollar store knife can cut your seat belt latch clean off and drive off and dismantling this wire with simple bolt cutters 🤨

I dont know many car thief's that carry around bolt cutters. this is just an extra step in helping to keep your car safe.
