Morning Sleep Ranch! 👋 Im just now catching up with your video because we have had severe winds, snow and no electricity so that meant no internet. But, even though its still snowing today, at least the powers back and I can catch up with you all. Lifting some extra prayers your way and to the Sonne Farms friends too. You guys all stay safe during the current blizzards heading your way. Lifting some extra prayers for you and all the cattle too.

Your little blue in his house was very cute watching you play with Silas who is also cute. The feed wagon would be nice if they figured out a way to keep the leaves and protein in the wagon other than hosing down the mixer as it is going. All of the dust is protein blowing away, somebody smarter than me will figure that out someday. That wagon sure made short work of the bale. Your pup sure seems to be watching everything going on around him. My mother had a Jack Russell that when it was his bed time he would go in his kennel pull the door shut and give little barks until someone covered his kennel with a blanket, in the morning he would go out and pull the blanket off. We have had many that liked their kennels at least partially covered more like a dugout to them I guess. Your calf run looks great for running the little guys in, hope it works well without many modifications. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.

Hey Carson, How the heck are you doing? It's taken me all winter to catch up on videos. That NDE is a good machine and made short work of that bale, I was impressed. Yes I agree with you that winter needs to go away, it snowed again yesterday April 1 it's just getting old and things are getting behind for work. Your little puppy is a nice addition to the family. I'm glad you and the family are doing well. Take care and stay safe my friend.

That looks great, another toy for grown men.😜 Just be careful around that alfalfa dust, I have a cousin who developed COPD from breathing it. He ended up needing a lung transplant. Keep healthy and safe. Love the ranch and all the people there. Every time I see you pull string off the feed bags it reminds me of my kids always needing string for something so when ever I opened a bag that had string on it I would roll it up on a ball and save it. Just say'n you've got a little one and may just need some string.

That was a cool mixer I love how fast it chewed up that round bale .. that's a nice calf alley you made but you have horses why don't you rope them calves and drag them to the fire it sucks that more and More old traditions like that are dying today used to be everyone in there community got together and helped everyone Brand and vaccinate and castrate there calves in every State no need for calf chutes the USA as a whole the and ranching community in general was alot less divided then tho to I still see some ranches doing it today but not many..

That's right, in Montana a purported verbal agreement can supersede the brand papers/title to the cattle. I was shocked by this. Even when you show proof someone else filled out and signed an illegal Bill of Sale. Even when you call the livestock investigator and tell them a con man has changed the naming on the cattle and beef at slaughter. Even after the con man lies to the livestock investigator on the whereabouts of some of the cattle. Be careful in Montana, if you agree to let someone feed your cattle to hopefully sell later, they can take the cattle kill/sell all of them. The brand department will say it's civil at best. No support. Even though their own department issued the brand papers listing you as the owner. That has always been solid title to the cattle. Not anymore. It's really interesting when Idaho state brand inspectors take away approximately 23hd from the same character for all kinds of questionable things. Montana still doesn't care. Montana has the smoking gun evidence, but they don't care. Its awful..First time in history the brand department stood behind someone other than the owner. I don't think they want anyone else to know that all the cattle slipped through their inspections at the small slaughter house. Be careful buying cattle in Montana. Heart breaking. It's the real yellowstone up there. Crazy story if you knew the whole thing.
