I love how Stefan realized the guy had supernatural strength after he struggled a little bit, but made the smart choice and gave up so he wouldn't out himself as supernatural creature as well. And all this is communicated through his eyes. Edit: 🤦‍♀Me: definitely regretting not deleting this after the first few people told me I was wrong. For people confused, stephan is weak as he is only eating animal blood. Which severly weakens vampires. The other guy being a wolf has supernatural strength as well. Vampires are Usually stronger than werewolfs unless its a fullmoon or they are a hybrid wolf.

Not in The Vampire Diaries universe. Mason the werewolf was only stronger than Stefan because Stefan doesn’t feed on human blood he feeds on animals so he wasn’t at his full vampire strength. The supernatural being stronger than Vampires and Werewolves in this show is the Original Hybrid he would be considered the alpha wolf and vampire.

Yes at this point of the series he was. Stefan wasn’t drinking human blood like Damon says Stefan’s vampire abilities don’t work as well when he doesn’t drink human blood and only animal blood. So yes Mason was stronger than Stefan but wasn’t stronger than Damon. Plus I believe this episode it was a full moon where werewolves are at their strongest so Mason was pretty strong here.
