It's obvious that Everton have issues but the harbinger of their demise, Borson, has consistently tried to peddle the idea of the club going to the wall and it hasn't happened. If DCL leaves it is because he wants to, as this is his last opportunity for the 'big money' deal...in his eyes. If nobody comes in for him and he continues to not sign his contract then Everton will have to sell him at a reduced price or he'll go for nothing in the summer. Regarding Brandthwaite...he's going nowhere. There is a story here and it is how, against the odds, Everton, in the end, comfortably survived last season and have brought in at least 5 players this summer (purchases and loans). The fan base is optimistic and that annoys the likes of TalkSport and their Red Top acolytes...It's a complex thing to sell a Premier League club and Everton's situation makes that more apparent but the constant lack of actual analysis, as opposed to the 'Everton equals CRISIS' is boring and really lazy, sensationalised journalism...but then that is what Talk Sport is good at.

Most reports are that the 200 that came in from the Frieken group both paid the last of the stadium costs, and does not carry any immediate payments against nor interest for over a year....I am no where near an expert, but it is shocking how wrong so called experts can be.

True. The Frieken £200mill paid off another loan and replaced the equity in the stadium company. £450mill 'ish of the debt is owed to Moshiri. Interest Free. He'll likely take a hit on that when he sells. We have about £180mill loan from Media Rights Funding, which is interest payable at about 10% (I think). So, all the noise around us having this huge, interest gaining debt, isn't quite true when you break it down.

You don't understand how FFP works then if you think Borson has some kind of agenda against Everton. Whether you're too slow to understand this or not, Borson deals in facts rather than tittle tattle or opinion. You don't get to level he's at as a Solicitor without having a solid grasp of the factual content of legal disputes. The FACT is Everton's accounts, in black and white, show that they made losses that go beyond allowable losses as per the rules. That's why they got the points deductions - their accounts CLEARLY showed the losses! It isn't an opinion - it's a FACT. City haven't made losses that'd make them breach FFP. Their accounts clearly show this. Here's that phrase again - IT'S A FACT they haven't made losses that make them liable for a points deduction. The allegation against city is that they've artificially inflated their accounts by using their own sports washing, human rights abusing middle eastern operation to sponsor city. This is an entirely different situation that Everton losing money. You can't just give city a points deduction because you think they've overpaid themselves in sponsorship deals. We all know that city have struck some ridiculous over valued deals, but that doesn't necessarily mean they've broken the rules. That's all borson has said on the matter. He isn't defending city, he's just saying that at present, it has not been proven by the Premier League AS A FACT that City have broken any rules.

Darragh MacAnthony is a legend, Stefan is an idiot. If it was that bad, would a smart businessman like Freidkin pump in £200m into the club as a loan secured against the stadium? The only debt we are paying interest on is Rights and Media and the short term loan, the interest rates are high from all reports, he is right on that, but we are not paying 10% on £600M+, its probably closer to 12% on £250m, which is still terrible, but its not dooms day level. And further more, none of those companies are going to call a debt in and see the club go bust or go into administration and risk getting back 10p on the £, the only time football clubs fold are when the tax man comes calling over long standing unpaid tax bills, and this is simply because if you go bust, banks get next to nothing. And last time I checked we have paid all moneys owed to HMRC without issue (I say that cause if they hadn't been paid, the likes of Stefan wouldn't be shutting up about it). The debt as it stands is as follows Mashiri - £400m (Interest free, and likely never paid back) 777 - £200m - no interest, we don't even know who legally owns this debt! (Which is rumoured to be why Fredkin walked away) Fredkin Group - £200m (used to clear the MSP loan, nothing due until 2026) Rights and Media Group - £220M (Might be a little higher now, but it was this much in Jan) Other - £30m (Sort term loan facility) Worst case if Everton did need cash quickly they could sell a player for a cut down price, but realistically we could sell equity into the stadium to get us out of the mess, it would hurt in the long term though as it would likely mean we would be giving up a percentage of revenue on the stadium, but we would be fine finically in the short term, the stadium is said to be worth £1bn after all.

Everton’s last achievement was in the 95 cup fa final, whereas Roma were involved in a great champions league tussle against Liverpool. There can be no comparison between the two sides.
