Amen! I don't know why everyone think that Caroline is bringing out a new version of Stefan. I was like, do these people need to re-watch the series? Elena was the first person that made Stefan feel 'human'. He confessed that to Lexi in "Season 1". Elena brought Stefan out of his shell. She persuaded him to join the football team & he felt really good about it. They went on a double-date with Matt & Caroline. I especially liked when Stefan and Matt bonded at the pool table. He even let Matt drive his vintage Porsche. Stefan was in the grill when Caroline sung "Eternal Flame" to Matt. He clapped with Jenna, Bonnie & Elena when Matt kissed Caroline on the stage. This whole Stefan and Caroline mess started when she turned. What Lexi was to Stefan, that's Stefan's position with Caroline. Nothing romantic... Elena has saved Stefan's life. In the episode "Blood Brothers" from "Season 1", when Elena found out the truth about Damon's transition, she went to talk to Stefan about it & found that he deliberately left his ring. He was riddled with so much guilt for terrorizing that girl at the Founder's Pageant. He told Elena that all he could hear was the cries & the screams of his victims and that he desperately wanted it to stop. I was terrified. I seriously thought that we were going to lose him. That moment scared me more than him nearly getting killed by the tomb vampires. Stefan drinking Elena's blood to maintain his strength is a key indicator of how powerful SE was. When Stefan expressed to Elena that he needed to drink human blood, I was concerned about that just like Elena was. Considering Stefan's history when it comes to drinking human blood, the fact that Stefan was able to maintain his bloodlust while drinking Elena's blood was incredible. Let's get to "Season 3". When Klaus compelled Stefan to attack Elena, he never wanted to feel NOTHING again. He confessed that to Elena in "Don't Go Gentle". That's when I saw the depth of Stefan's love. He hurt the last person in the world that he never wanted to hurt. P.S.: Stefan did love Katherine, but, he was never 'in love' with her. Damon and Elijah were the only ones. Crystal Dominique Wow, I love everything you just wrote and you are absolutely right!! You should send this to Julie Plec so she'll realize and doesn't forget that SE is endgame, because they were true love. Damon was "the bad guy" and Elena was the "good girl", it's such a cliché, she wanted to fix him and fell in love with him. But Stefan was the perfect guy, she loved him from the start. I don't believe when people say she always loved Damon, because she didn't. She chose Stefan over and over again. Caroline is, as you said, what Lexie was for him. I don't watch TVD right now because I think it's all a mess with all these new couples, but Stefan and Caroline NEVER had any chemistry before, I don't know why they would make their relationship romantic? Their friendship was great. I think it's awkward seeing them as a couple. Stelena on the other hand, wooow. Nina and Paul have amazing chemistry, sometimes I even think she had better chemistry with Paul than with Ian (when she was dating him). I really hope we'll get to see Stelena together again, because they loved each other first and what they have is true.

Thanks. It's good to have a voice beside me. Ian Somerhalder is bored with DE. In his directorial debut "The Downward Spiral", there wasn't a single DE scene. That should tell Julie Plec & Caroline Dries something. The creators have Stefan & Elena holding hands in the "Season 6" poster for a reason. I just have to find out what that reason is. P.S.: Elena met Damon first! The night her parents died. Damon even called Elena 'Katherine'. As far as Damon is concerned, Katherine is in a tomb. And he thinks that Elena is her. If Damon felt a 'connection' to Elena, why was Stefan the one who saved her? Damon was in Mystic Falls to not only torment Stefan, he was there because of the comet. Remember that Crystal that Damon wanted from Bonnie? The one Emily Bennett used to seal the vampires inside the tomb? Emily used the comet to harness the Crystal's power for the spell to work. The only way for the Crystal to work again would be for the comet to return. That's why Damon was in Mystic Falls... The moment I saw the scene I knew it was fake. "I loved you the moment I first saw you." | Damon Salvatore You thought she was Katherine! Julie Plec must think we have amnesia.

I believe that stefan was confused about his feelings for caroline in s6, not bcoz it didn't feel right, but bcoz it challenged him to reconsider his own beliefs about true love. Unlike stelena or steferine, this wasn't love-at-first-sight, it wasn't a lightning bolt for him, instead he fell for her, SLOWLY, without even realising it. This is like saying.."I fell in love, the way you fall asleep..slowly and then all at once". Stefan fell in love with caroline without even realising it, and he had his ALL AT ONCE moment in liz's funeral. Then he just KNEW. He knew it in his bones that he had already fallen for her. He was not thinking about the past anymore..all he knew was that he had an amazing person infront of him..and he'd be an idiot to let her go. The circumstances are so damn tragic bcoz that girl is going through the worst tragedy of her life. It's understandable if stefan wants her to deal with her grief first, it's okay if he supports her as a best friend, instead of a romantic interest. I don't see anything wrong here. His conservative idea of true love, tragic circumstances and damon's weird ass advice built up conflict for him. There was so much going on that he convinced himself to deal with it another day. Caroline's grief took over her and hell broke loose. It's purely circumstantial. It wasn't stefan's fault.

The idea of a ripper who hated himself and wanted to die once upon a time...now spending his eternity with the love of his life, sounds like a true conclusion to stefan salvatore's story. It would be testament to his character development. Same for caroline too. She always wanted to be loved and cared for. Stefan would love her FOREVER, while they live in europe, searching for a soln to the merge, recruiting for the school, raising their kids, and their kids after that, until one day when they find peace together too. The human ending would have been amazing too. It would build up to the moment where caroline dies and sees Stefan in the afterlife(stefan would have died earlier)
