This was so dope I always envy those that can play the piano and or for that matter learn but I have a hard time with hand placement and understand the intermediate to advance interpretations of chords meaning like he mentioned earlier instead of playing the original chord you switched a note in the chord to add tension. I'm still trying to understand the differences between things like sus4 and like things like when you play a (idk lol) a like minor 5th over C (see I probably said all that wrong just then. However the crazy thing about it is I started making beats by created RnB instrumentals then got really heavy into making LoFi beats but I want to get back to making RnB beats again but I feel like in order for me to feel more comfortable and confident in enhancing my ability to create unique and great sounding RnB beats Im going to have to just buckle down and focus hard on learning how to play the piano. Love all your videos bro!

I've been wanting to learn to play piano for the longest! I think I'm just gonna go for it but like everything you said I feel so lost at times. I love the sound of the piano and I wanna learn better chord progressions and voicings. I know it would make my melodies better. I'm gonna try to learn. It's something I've been thinking about doing for a while now.

(I have 3 already in the works but need a 4th) Also, please forgive the weird camera shake in the top down view. I got a bit carried away whilst playing making the camera shake. I tried to remedy this with stabilisation in post but it was a bit too much for it to deal with. Anyways, enjoy!

Dope vibe as always bro!!! Love it when you tell your viewers the right chord names!!! Everything was right but the key!!! Thanks bro!!! Yeah I messed up on the key, it's weird I thought that as the Amaj sounded like the 4 to me but from the other chords I was playing I just assumed I was in Amaj without even thinking about it. But yeah man, I've been studying to improve my theory!

At first I thought this was a pretty audacious video title as I’m a huge fan of the artist and if you’re not literally producing for her as In getting commissioned to do so it’s not right to title it as such. Then I watched it and almost immediately was drawn in by your approach and delivery. You totally won me over and actually yes I can definitely hear H.E.R. over this. Lovely video in all respects - your work is aspirational 🙌👏
@stefanguy3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this message. It's something that I've found difficult on KZbin. Finding that balance with titles. On the one hand you can title it exactly what it is, stay integral but help nobody as nobody will click on the video. Or be a little audacious, to encourage people to watch it and possibly help them on their journey. It's tough, in the passed someone called me out for my first Producing For video. It was Producing For Kehlani. The video was doing extremely well in terms of views, likes and comments for my channel and what I usually get. But he roasted me for the title. So I changed it. Views fell off a cliff. Sad thing is, no-one else complained but it's always in the back of my mind now. The channels that do the best, in terms of views most often have audacious titles, though I still find it hard to do. I'm glad to read from you though that even though this title was on the edge, I was able to deliver content that one you over. You don't know how encouraging this message is for me so thank you.
@musicprotutorials3 жыл бұрын
@@stefanguy I totally understand and have exactly the same conflicts internally with titling on my channel. I am super glad I’ve found your videos though and will support. Totally love your content, keep up the good work, you’re one of the best IMO 🙌👏

Hey Norran, if you’re having issues it’s best to delete it as a control surface. Go to Logic Pro, Control Surfaces, setup and select your komplete kontrol and delete it. I'm working on a course that will take from the very basics to writing progressions like this stefanguy.com/courses - in the mean time I'd start by trying to learn your favourite songs. You have to think about your Dj’s because we’re the ones who mix and promote your songs. More advice to give but I’m going to keep it simple.
