Well managed on a challenging day Stephan. In the ‘93 Worlds in Sweden there was one pre-start gaggle with over 60 gliders from all three classes in it. It was really thermal wave as we were well above cloud base and it was very smooth. The only way to contain all of the gliders was to circle fairly flat and three wide. I was in the middle of the three rings with gliders either side one worryingly close below and an open class something or other above. I couldn’t see what type but it did have starches on its undercarriage doors! Happy (nervous) memories. Greatly enjoy your videos Stephan.

It looks like a flock of cranes preparing to cross a large body of water. They find a thermal and circle it just like all of you did. 😊

😍Was thinking the exact same thing👌🏻. Once saw a BBC Nature documentary: where cranes were circling, to get enough hight, to cross the Mount Everest (range) during their seasonal trek from Tibet into the fertile planes of North-east India.

Nicely done Stefan! Looked really hot on the ground. The cirrus clouds look like they were shadowing the thermals out. I'm surprised even still that not much lift was found. Best of luck in the championship man! The whole family is watching your videos and cheering for you!

Wow congrats on another successful flight and landing at the airport 👍. Have to say i really like that song at the early part of the video. Its getting to be like your theme song which is cool. Also cool you videoed the other guys and gave them some credit for being there even though you will probably beat them all but it shows that you were thinking about others and the team more than just focusing on yourself like many KZbinrs do. 😊😉. The Vario voice sounds like a cross between an orgasmic cat and a hyper canary. I think there should be optional voices to choose from each day. You could choose a dog, a cow or a sexy woman, for example. :-)
