I've been waiting for this update! (: You're the reason I got an apple snail and now I'm obsessed. They're so interesting and cute, easily one of my favorites to keep. My albino just started laying clutches last week after having her for months. I'm definitely considering starting a bloodline sometime soon.

i used to have ducks before and they really belong outdoors. they poop every 20 seconds or something. its a strong smell that will not leave even after wiping.

CheeseTiger Productions I get my apple snails almost the size of my palm by feeding them a TON of cucumbers. I just blanch cucumbers and feed as much as possible and give them access to food at all times. They will grow.

There's not enough space at the top of that tank for them to lay the eggs, also helps if you have a lid to keep in the humidity. They lay the eggs above the water. I love your channel btw just started watching about a week ago. Take care beautiful.

I like how she keeps her dead apple snail shells, in a way she’s keeping a moments of them and I am sure if apple snails had wills they would want her to have their shells, I personally would paint them to look like the sky or flowers or something cute like that, just to show the beauty they still hold

I prefer a bare bottom tank with no ornaments or gravel for waste matter to hide and pollute the water. The corner filter is fine regardless how dirty it looks because it is loaded with established aerobic bacteria keeps the tank crystal clear. Goldfish are very dirty and if your water is that clear then it is very bioactive. I wonder if an apple snail is the same as a mystery snail? In my unheated aquarium I have Japanese trapdoor snails, which do great in outdoor ponds all year round.

I've had trouble in the past with cuttlebone smelling bad after a while, but I know my snails looooove tums lol. They'll eat about 1/16th of a tum per day if I let them, since I have 3 snails I just put in 1/4 of a piece every 4 or 5 days and this seems to be plenty. They will literally eat so much of the tum that they'll poop pure calcium. I'm not certain if this is really good for them or not lol, but that's why I try to make sure I don't give them too many tums because they'll seriously eat as many as I put in. I think they like it cause the calcium in a tum is already all broken up, when you put it in the water it almost falls apart after a minute or two and then they just slurp up the powder.

Do you worry about the rock in the snail grow out tank? I have some rocks, about seven small to medium sized rocks, in my snail tank... But what I worry about is them falling and cracking their shells! Most of my snails are pretty elegant about falling, but my Little Foot, he is always falling roughly! He has a crack, but luckily it didn't go all the way through!! Whew! Since he's grown up, lol, he's become better about falling, but that snail... 🐌 Stresses me out, haha. But yeah, do you worry about the rocks and has it ever been an issue for your snails?

My biggest one I ever had was a beautiful black female. She gave me a few beautiful babies 😍. Any way, she hadn't moved in 2 days. So I took her out and flipped her upside down on top of the lid of my tank. I about feeding the rest of my 17 tanks. I had forgotten about her, till I heard that heart stopping sound of her crashing to the floor and bouncing off my dogs glass food dish. She shattered her whole shell, I felt like the biggest piece of s@#$ for leaving her like that. I have never done this since, nor will I do again. I know put them in dishes.

I also keep the shells.I`m weird too ,congrats :p You can bind a little rock on the cuttlebone so it will sink,then the snails can eat it better. (of course with the soft side up :p ) (excuse for bad English)
