Appreciate the video. I have a stray cat that has become my shop cat. Ugly thing was as close to dead as you can get without being dead when it appeared. He’s black as coal , got stubby front legs and long back legs and no tail. All he needs is a set of yellow traction bars to be full red neck 😂. He hangs out with me when I’m working in the shop. I took him to the vet to make sure he didn’t have any sickness that was contagious to my other animals and the vet said he had the biggest set of balls she’s ever seen on a cat. Hey, it’s better to be handy than handsome. Appreciate the content and hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

You get the job, even if you have to fabricate your own gantry crane. Are there many farmers who use vintage equipment to farm? Seems to me the new farm equipment is too reliant on sensors and control modules with priority software. There was a lawsuit filed to allow farmers to gain access to the priority software . I myself prefer old equipment. They were reliable and a person could fix themselves. Does that CAT 3208 have an ECU?

I used to own a late model international 4366 up until a few years ago. mine was one of the last ones built before they switched to the 4386. Your Steiger looks a lot like it. I really like Steiger tractors, and I prefer the green ones. Reasonably cheap and economical no thrills power. I originally bought mine for the simplicity of the design and working on it. Mine was dualed up with 18.4-38 and the heavy duty steel 10 bolt wheels inside and out. I would have preferred 24.5-32 singles for ease of storage and roading down the highway. Those old girls are really hard to beat for their simplicity and operating cost. If I buy another 4 wheel drive it’ll be green. I think I want one with a 3306 kitty. Although I liked my tractor for the most part, I didn’t really care for the 1466 type diffs and axle setup they used on it. I feel that there was better technology out there for axles. Really enjoy the content you’re creating! Great job!

The International axles used in the 4366 and the other " Steigernationals" actually make a job like this much bigger. The transmission housing portion of those axles makes it impossible to get the bottom bell housing bolts out without removing the entire axle first. I did a transmission job on a buddy 's 4366. You are making me anxious to get started on my own Wildcat lll project about 100 miles north of you.

@@frede5656 I told myself that if I was to ever have to put a clutch in mine, I was going to pull the cab off to get to it. I’m a former independent field mechanic and have service truck with a crane that has a 21-22 reach. I could tell as soon as I bought it that I wanted no part of fiddling around with going through the floorboard. And I later learned that the front diff in the IH/Steiger’s could be challenging to find a new replacement if ever needed.

Well just grab a wrench and wrench on the other side for you.... still wondering about that 4186 IH... that throwout bearing is trashed... the throwout out bearing is part of the clutch.. May I suggest getting the easy pedal plus... its self adjusting and light on the push... and also turn the flywheel... you will need a clutch alighnment tool to install that heavy bastard as there is an intermediate plate and 2 clutch discs to align in there... you must have a clutch alignment tool to install these Truck style clutches there is no shortcut around that... the other thing if you do get the easy pedal plus clutch do Not remove the Bolts from the adjuster till you have it installed tight on the flywheel... replace the pilot bearing as well.... with these clutches its well worth the money to do them right not play cheap games... that will bite you in the posterior everytime... Good luck...

Maybe having the ads now you can better afford to fix and restore your equipment Having grown up in a farming community and having farmers in my family I know that very seldom do you actually make money farming Most of the time you either loose money or just break even Great instructional video sir

True statement. I don’t make much $ with the farm, but the KZbin ads help. And I figure if I can bring people enjoyment and entertainment a couple times a week it makes it all worth it 😉

Wrong color red anyway. When I worked for Massey I rebuilt and restored a 1155 that had been on fire. It was a pretty fun experience.
