This is such a complete tutorial that I have to go back to it to continue my education. I've been so frustrated with the manual that I'd almost given up. What's the point of showing someone how to use a function if you don't show them 'why' they would use it. These tutorials are so comprehensive in that respect. You've had to have spent a lot of time on this powerful app. Thank you for all of your hard work. Though I only started watching these to find out one piece of information (how to drop a sample on a pad; the three options), I quickly realized that there was so much more that I needed to know before I could even begin. Like there are three different Agents and each one is used differently. Never knew that. This is a very complex instrument. I doubt most people have any idea. GA is a powerful instrument. I was at a workshop several years ago and the Steinberg instructor said 'Ninety percent of Cubase owners only understand ten percent of it's functions'. You, my friend, are not one of these people. Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your knowledge.

I just wanted to say I really appreciate your pacing of delivery, the level of detail and how clearly you explain everything. I’ve watched a lot of videos on KZbin but you are head and shoulders above everyone else if you really want to learn this stuff. Thank you so much !

Great stuff Anthony, nice bite-sized tutorials that are very illuminating. Makes me realise that I've not been aware of just how flexible Groove Agent is, even though I've used it for years.

It is so clear to me that you have spent the hours systematically poking around GA that I have always wanted to, but never did. Thanks again for this series, very informative!

How u get the sound to work
@OneManAndHisSongs2 жыл бұрын
That's such a huge question, it could be any number of issues. If you're having issues with your system you can raise a support ticket with Steinberg. I've never known Groove Agent to not make sound at all, so can't imagine what it could be

Excellent. Wonderful patch What monitor did you go for? Again iny.parallel world I have been looking into as my 27" needs replacing. Maybe 32". Ratios can be an issue with some sizes. Don't worry I'm not going to ask lots of questions 😉

Ask away, it's all good :) My main monitor is a BenQ PD3200U, and the second monitor is a Benq EW3280U. I did want two of the same - it was a SNAFU situation on Amazon's part that resulted in me getting different models, but I'm really happy with them both. I run them in 2560x1440, and the new real estate is a joy!

Oh, no, I'd been so happy with GA SE5. Now, I'm going to have to buy the full Groove Agent 5 having seen its capabilities and it's all your fault!

The relative mode does not seems to work with Groove agent se5. Is it a limitation on the se5
@OneManAndHisSongs3 жыл бұрын
I don't use SE personally, but I'd be really surprised if that was the case. Are you sure you're selecting the "Sel" button as well? You might still be set to "Rel" + "Pad", in which case your edits will be affecting all the samples on the pad
@deppam3 жыл бұрын
@@OneManAndHisSongs I have on rel and sel and it does not seems to work or I'm missing something?
@OneManAndHisSongs3 жыл бұрын
Not sure. Try this simple test: Start with a completely empty Agent. Select Instrument Pad C1, then Open Media Bay, filter by Audio Files/Drum & Perc/Kick Drum, and drag TWO kick drum sounds onto the C1 pad (drop them using the "+" icon). Set your buttons to Rel/Sel, then INDIVIDUALLY select each of the two samples and change each of their volumes - one up, one down. Toggle back and forth between the two samples. Are the volumes different? If it still doesn't work, mail me a screenshot to anthony@onemanandhissongs.com and I'll see if I can see anything wrong.

I was getting a refresher of groove agent and realized you send a reply. I did what you said above and it does not work. Also I couldn't find an email address on the website.

Solved I found out why you have to write click on the perimeter and select forget automation on the context menu.
