Here,s one of the most simple semiautomatic sporting rifles, only a few parts- very similar to the design of WW2 open bolt machine guns.
Fixed firing pin or rather ridge- ignites rimfire shell at 12 and 6 o’clock.
Very nice to shoot.
Note that the main spring guide is also a weight - can be installed forward , adding the weight to the bolt or in the back, reducing the weight of the bolt- for hot or standard ammo respectively.
I never had to place it in the back- it seems to snoot any ammo you use in it reliably. Perhaps with a very slow -subsonic I would have to.
Sorry for a little hiccup with the bolt installation, it is a bit of a trick to bypass the sear. It,s easier to remove the whole trigger group (just one screw )and install the bolt into the receiver first.
