OPEN BOLT 22 VOERE 2005: field strip and operation

Here,s one of the most simple semiautomatic sporting rifles, only a few parts- very similar to the design of WW2 open bolt machine guns.
Fixed firing pin or rather ridge- ignites rimfire shell at 12 and 6 o’clock.
Very nice to shoot.
Note that the main spring guide is also a weight - can be installed forward , adding the weight to the bolt or in the back, reducing the weight of the bolt- for hot or standard ammo respectively.
I never had to place it in the back- it seems to snoot any ammo you use in it reliably. Perhaps with a very slow -subsonic I would have to.
Sorry for a little hiccup with the bolt installation, it is a bit of a trick to bypass the sear. It,s easier to remove the whole trigger group (just one screw )and install the bolt into the receiver first.

@STEINBVG Sir. You inspired me. This morning I removed that ugly mud finish from my Mauser 105. Got down to 220 grit today. 400 tomorrow. Then Danish oil natural finish. I want it to look very similar to yours. BTW, how many oil coats did you put on your stock? Curious here.

How does the empty case ejection works without an extractor? What's the explanation behind that? When i tries to make one, the empty case gets stuck inside the barrel. It doesn't extract itself after firing. Can you please explain how to make it work?

My Mauser 105 small variation. The back action retaining cap that screws on, is locked in place by a very small set screw. Exactly the same as now discontinued Voere 2185 centrefire semi-auto deer rifle. Funny that Mauser included this feature, yet Voere does not on their very known rimfire rifle?

A have read somewhere :Voere had been earlier and Mauser bought the design. People complained that the cup gets undone. Mauser took care of it. I bought spare parts for the Mauser - they are perfect fit on my Voere. I think my Gevarm is probably the most original of them all.

Seems very well made,there are other European made of ths sistem Becker,a shame they are no longer made due to the increasingly restrictive laws for the law abiding cityzens of course.

The screw that you undo with your fingers - what type of screw is that & what is it referred to as please? I wouldn't mind replacing my screw with one like that!

I have the Gevarm A3 it has nice interchangeable sights plus I got a 15rd magazine much better since it came with an 8 rd . Both guns are almost identical except for the stock.

Yes. I have heard about it. A version of the original French Gevarm . Not sure if exact copy. Voere is close too, but trigger/ disconnect slightly different
