From my experience, most of the death wobble with bigger tire combo comes from the ball joints and track bar.

What’s the torque specs for the kit?
@joelclarke20355 ай бұрын
Yes, I need this also. Anyone else find it? Or just go with the bolt type/size spec?

what do you do about the sway bar links and their mounts? On my 06 TJ they are directly in the path of where the drag link should go.
@maxmoore43154 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the informative video. I really don't like the flop but so far everything stays in place and is very strong. I have hydro assist on our TJ so we work the rods ends pretty hard up in the rocks and trails. I have bent and destroyed most other brands so time will tell how rugged the parts really are. I did use regular nuts on all the bolts until I got all the alignment set where I wanted it, that made the adjustments very easy then I installed the lock nuts.

Great idea with the normal nut and there isn't much you can do with the flop. Even an automotive style tie rod end will still flop....most people just don't notice it. We haven't heard it 'flop' around on the trails, have you?

@@Steinjager I haven't heard it flop, so far it is great.

I have this crossover on my xj and i love it, my only issue is with clearance on the passenger tire/rim when turning left and rubbing on the bar (15” rims). Is there any way to gain more clearance without going with a bigger wheel size?
@Milesalexander8074 жыл бұрын
Do you believe a 1in spacer would help? It might not be as appealing aesthetically, but it'll it solved the problem it might be worth it. Since you've already drilled out the knuckles. What do you think?

Are the bends in both bars supposed to point out in front (like an arrow pointing out), or down towards the ground?

Do you have bump steer after install this kit??

Just installed the Steinjager crossover kit on my 93 xj and was wondering if there is a stabilizer bar that works with that kit?
@Steinjager3 жыл бұрын
The answer differs depending on which stabilizer your are referring to. The sway bar from the factory should work just find. If you are talking about the steering damper, we sell a bracket to allow the factory damper to attach. steinjager.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_sku=J0048823

I just got this kit installed. the steering wheel was tuned over 90 degrees from center. track bar bolt was loose. after that, i took it to another shop to have it aligned. They did a good job but I still get wobble. feels like from the passenger side. Any suggestions on where too look?

Where can i get a stabilizer kit for this?
@Steinjager3 жыл бұрын
If you are looking for the bracket to reuse your factory stabilizer, go here: steinjager.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_sku=J0048823. If you need the actual stabilizer, most auto parts stores will carry them or you can easily find one on the internet.

Does it matter what direction the pitman arm bolt is?
@Steinjager4 жыл бұрын
We have always pointed the bolt up but you will want to check clearances no matter which way you mount it.

Can I use regular ends on it?

Not that we know. We designed it around 3/4" rod ends.

I'm going to be installing this kit. I have a drop pitman arm and the measurement of the current set up from the spindle to the arm is 34 inches. Should I remove the drop pitman arm? I know it is 4 in of lift.
@Steinjager4 жыл бұрын
34" is going to be on the short side. You will know right away if it turns much further in on direction than the other.

Drop pitman arms stress your steering box. Get rid of it if at all possible
