Just got around to watching this blog. Love your new home. Yes turn the basement into an everyday TV room with a wrap around couch that way when you have family over that area is great for movie nights etc. Kitchen cabinets look good painted. Job well done. Attic just complete the flooring and just keep it for storage and holiday decor for the year. Really great space for storage

We just changed the counter top, just do it! It's a weekend project, much easier than the painting of the cabinets. And you are absolutely right about the sink. I still can't brave the painting. I wish you to fill all the rooms soon❤

There is always something to do in a home. Don’t stress it takes the time it takes. You will find the answers on what to put where as you live with the house. I am going through a similar thing but in a 16th century stone house in southern France.

Nice to see your new home Stella. The creaking floors….sprinkle talcum power on the floor and then use a broom to sweep it into the spaces between the boards. That should help the creaking.

Beautiful house! Love your deco! The spare room downstairs could be another tv or family room. As for the other spare bedroom sometimes life gives you lemons and you have to make a lemon margarita cocktail out of it. I’ve been there too girl.. Keep the positive thinking and everything will fall into place ❤

Creaky floorboards - screw them down, not nail them down. However, you get to recognise the creaks and I like mine because I know I can hear people moving around in the house at night. Spare bedroom use - if you have PCOS - low carbs. Good luck. I cut out sugar and it worked for me.
