The game is fantastic. Eve has a bunch of cute outfits that aren't skimpy at all. You have to deliberately pick those. Shame that Journos and "Gamers" would rather complain about her butt instead of talking about real problems in the game industry like how devs, QA, VAs are treated so poorly by Western game companies.

I love it when developers try to make a game inspired by their favorites, without the pretention to reinvent the wheel. This game seems to overflow with passion and I'm glad it's getting great reviews. If this is the studio's first AAA production, I can't wait to see Stellar Blade 2 getting perfect review scores whenever it comes out.

This review is just about what I expected from the game based on the footage I've seen so far, and the interviews talking about the game itself with the director, which is a game with a stellar combat system mixed with a lackluster story. And I particularly liked how detailed the reviewer was, since he not only thoroughly explained the combat itself, but the various other things one can do in the game: from the side quests, overall mini games, to even confirming what bonus content awaits the player after completing the game. Overall, an excellent review, hopefully in the sequel they brush up on the narrative so the game can be stellar in every way.

I'm just glad that this genre (whatever the name is at the moment: character action, hack-and-slash, spectacle fighter, etc.) is getting more attention and love in recent years. Not just from the big ones, like Bayonetta and God of War. Mainly from newcomers, like Soulstice, Genokids, Enenra, and Stellar Blade here. Possibly Yasuke: A Lost Descendant and Gori: Cuddly Carnage as well, *to a degree*. Can very much recommend Soulstice. It's a bit tougher to get into compared to Stellar Blade and has some shortcomings, such as a few enemy types and dragging on in the middle. And a divisive combat/traversal mechanic. The shortcomings are offset by having a very good story and really good combat, where every of the seven total weapons has their own strengths and weaknesses and animation/behavioural differences, plus a lot to offer on the "Devil Trigger" mechanics and a mix of a Style/Special meter. Genokids seems to be a short but very sweet venture from what i remember reading, where you control a four-man rock band and can switch between the band members for different movesets and Special attacks, and two different weapons for each individual member. Plus some neat stuff like character switching and escaping stuns by switching characters. Don't know super much about the others. Point is that like i said, i'm just happy to see the genre get more attention and hope that word can be spread on *all* of them, with their ups, downs and in-betweens.

Game looks good and performs well according to Digital Foundry. Glad it also plays well. I’ll pick it up but I might wait for the price to go down. It’s costing 80-90 bucks here. 80 physically and 90 digitally. There is a deluxe for 100 bucks. 20 bucks more than I paid for FF7 Rebirth at launch which cost 60 physically which is always cheaper than digitally here for some reason and I’m still playing that.

We live in a time in which good games are criticized equally or worse than bad games. Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy,Baldur's Gate 3, Helldivers 2 and now Stellar Blade but i'm happy we finally got good games. I hope this is a step on the right direction.

@@Mohgenstein the reason I mentioned Hogwarts Legacy and Stellar Blade is because they caused controversy for no apparent reason. All of the games I mentioned received criticism for literally just existing. Hogwarts Legacy had boycott attempt,Elden Ring got attacked by multiple developers,BG3 raised our standards and got criticized because of it,Helldivers 2 is pro consumer and it's also rejecting any political media and Stellar Blade is being criticized because of the main character. I'm not comparing any of the games, what I'm saying is none of these game deserved to be criticized just cause they exist. BG3 and Elden Ring will always be goated.

I don't know how to feel about the female character. Like I'm all for atractive women in any media but compared to the men in the game it feels like the main character is objectified at least a bit. Like when she wears a skirt you can always see up her skirt. I like ass just as much as the next guy but sometimes it can get annoying. It feels like its appealing to teenage boys.
