It's a lore adventure of whatever you want. They have more than enough references in game from a vast variety of Sci Fi and fantasy generes you're bound to make something up. Especially if you love Warhammer 40k

I wish we had little mini movies or something in the game when something major happens but...the game is maxed out as it is haha. ty for making this. Also on march 15th we get a new story expansion and finally stealth ships! idk how it will work but man i cant wait. Game just gets better and better.

Excellent game with stunning OSTs. Only negative points are: the number of dlcs while the game was supposed to get free updates, and the fact it's a paradox game. Optimization and multiplayer with mods sucks.

Well, some people solve it by compromise to buy DLCs to only one game, while pirating other ones. I can forgive Paradox way easier than EA or Activision, but that monthly subscription for CK2 is even more ridiculous. If they refused to give it for free after CK3 launch, they could easily sell it for 10-20 on Steam for a complete game.

The game does get free updates, a lot of them, only reason they're able to exist is due to the DLC keeping the going

​​@@Gafferman lol nop ? federation free upadate give you 50% content of g community and federatons 25%, now free leaders rework and partos of dlc for free, You need base game and utopa to replay it many many time, i have all but i alos play 4k h and most time i dont have money to bu it all right now so i know like most dlc do big free updates who look like base for dlc but it work. Things free updates not give is story. Almost alywase mechanics are in ubdate and dlc do story and add more things, no relic players still have some archeology. And in the end refresh old dlcs. Is literaly my first game when i have new things for old dlc.

If Paradox ever tried making a show or a short-movie based around Stellaris, it'd make insane bank. Game has enough random events and lore to make numerous seasons, imagine the entire Galaxy and Custodians fighting against the Unbidden...

I had a cinematic moment when I was trying to do a "Galactic Cold War" scenario. Maximum primitives, no Fallen Empires, Marauders, or Caravaneers, only the United Nations of Earth (me) and the Commonwealth of Man. Unfortunately, they won't spawn without at least one other empire, so I threw one into the mix... and they were as ludicrously evil as possible. The Dessitcans were a necroid empire out to become the Crisis, amassing in power far from our borders, a threat too great for us to face alone. We reached out to our long lost brethren in the Commonwealth, inviting them to rejoin as our vassal and later be integrated, to fight for a better future. They accepted. Seeing humanity reunited at long last was just beautiful.
