What do you do if your trait options are not showing up in the empire creator at all?

how do i add a description to my traits? i wish to build up a sort of story to the traits so that they make more sense rather than just spitting "op_trait.desc" at the player.

you need to create a localisation file. I recommend checking the wiki on it. One sec, I'll see if I made a video about it yet.

Im trying to make a mod that modifies jump drives max range and how the AI uses them. Ive followed your tutorial but it doesnt seem to work for modding things in the 00_defines.txt file. Could you make a video on that? Maybe show people how to modify the FOV and other aspects of the game at the same time. I took a look at your mod and I must say, I currently don't know enough about modding the defines file to help you. If you know how to modify the field of view, then you already know more than I do about modding the defines file! I'm specialized in events modding. I have some more videos coming up, but they are focused on expanding upon the subject of events modding. I would recommend asking for help in the stellaris modding den from someone who has experience in modding defines.
