Had the exact same species though think name was different, and uplifted them exactly as you did, Shame it was the first planet I lost to the unbidden. Just closed all portals and mopping up the last of the aberrant after all portals closed, the war went a bit sideways at start, as despite ruling half galaxy and every else in my federation (through clever use of ideology wars), I assumed the unbiddens weapons were for shields so completely outfitted wrong, being my first full game. Fortunately a few survive around empire, only one empire fell (one i made from a status quo idealogy peace offer), and they were mainly a fast breeder species, who's citizens are throughout galaxy. So basically I do not think any species was lost. And will be giving the uplifted species back their planet once terraformed back. Managed not to lose Cybrex Alpha either. Still in vanilla stellaris till after this game. So was happy when I did all my precursor missions.

Im playing as eleder I was able to turn dowb the Ai empires to 1 not zero unfortunately and I have 1 fallen. Turns out there was actually 4 good size empires. I was able to survey 80percent of the map. I held in my corner with 12 Systems. Then I Just started grabbing pre civs which I set to max. I have 14 of them And ive cornered off strong points to help garruntee they will be able to spread out in various directions also trying if possible to build them each Gates before hand. I used Home in sky, Masteful,Funtional, Meritocracy. Egalitarian Xenophile Spiritualists. Discovery expansion supremacy dimlomacy unyielding prosperity mercantile. One vision Interstellar Shared destiny engineered evo Evolutionary World shaper Viodborne Galactic wonders. I dont have viodbirne expanison but i had to take it because G world I only got 1. I wouod have taken master but i found a free Sentry. Anyways my quistin was about the Indoctrination uplift mostly. I get them were they like ne to 50 but the civis arnt perfect some are. Some make slight adjustments some more drstic. My sample size of what im doing here is 14 so. This is fun setting up the galaxy. What could i do better? I am missing half the game fyi. they're sort of randomised. i mean it seems like if you start certain tech trees you have a higher chance to draw a related tech card, so to speak.

The weight of the options (i.e., how likely they are to show up) may also be affected by ethics (and possibly government type, but I'm uncertain of that). I've heard that Spiritualist empires are likelier to have the option to develop psionic powers for instance, whereas Materialists are likelier to figure out how robots and AI work. Also, a lot of techs have prerequisites, e.g., no Synth tech before developing basic robots and so forth. I assume these prerequisites are solely of the sort that directly prevents tech-tree sequence breaking, though.

+2OldGamers You can research techs which allow you to gain +1 Core Sector planets. Otherwise, you can create other sectors and give them planets by clicking on the galaxy-like icon in the left upper corner called "Empire". Once the screen opens up, there should be a "Create New Sector" option in the right upper corner.
