I was on a road trip with friends and this CD was on repeat the entire time. I saw them once as the opening act for the Raveonnettes.

I first heard them on Glastonbury 2004 and the self titled album has been in my top list ever since. And what an incredible track to open the album with. One of the greatest to come out of New York, yet found in the land of obscurity. Madness that is.

It was in 2004 that I first heard this song by Stellastar* on the SXSW Music Festival web site. I immediately ordered the cd. It was awesome, and I use that word very rarely. I was lucky enough to see them perform live in Austin at a SXSW day party in 2009. Again, I say "awesome".

Great song, great album. Sadly, they’re no longer making music. Something about their style reminds me of a Canadian band from the 80s - Blue Peter.

somebody tell these guys in 2003 selfies were evil... ha - no, Stellastarr rules - me and my friend Ryan are the only people I know who listen to this. This whole album's a classic to me.

The lead singer had some serious medical stuff happen to him in regards to his throat and voice shortly after they released their second album (very good album by the way) and then they took a long hiatus while he recuperated. Eventually they released a third album (I have not heard it) and then broke up.

Shawn Christensen the lead guitarist wrote some scrrenplays, directed a Oscar wining shortfilm" Curfew" in 2012, and recently directed "The vanishing Of Sidney Hall." Which is the reason I heard of the Stellastarr, cause I wanted to know a bit more about the director of the film.
