You're making a game, but you really need to control your character to get the game started. We use simple attributes and the Input blocks to get our character moving.

Apparently particles are NOT built into Stencyl. I did hear that there was a behaviour on Stencyl Forge that you could try out? I think if you search of Particles on the behaviours you might find it.

what do you do if you want it to be controlled by the up and down keys and the left and right keys at the same time because i tried copying it but changing it to yspeed and all it didnt work

If you want it at the same time, you’ll need two separate “when updating” for left and right, and up and down.

when i press left it goes right but the left animation works..

make sure you have got your x value to minus. Remember that x + 5 is moving right, and x - 5 is moving left

Absolutely - you can set the velocity for any actor
