YES! I have a free westinghouse version of this machine and have been trying to slowly clean it and get it back to peak performance. I am so glad I found this video! I know what I'm doing this week!

I am loving this series. I have a Watson VZ treadle zig zag machine that looks very much like this one. I bought it in Germany and the owners manual is in French. I am so appreciative of the time you are taking on this particular machine as it is helping me feel more confident to hopefully get mine to her full potential.

I have never heard of this brand either, but, maybe the name of this machine 'Anker' is pronounced 'anchor'⚓(old joke). However, it sure sounds very smooth mechanically! Love the all metal machines. Nice looking too! I also appreciate your camera work to help us to see what you are doing. Thank you!!!!

Just watched your series on the Anker RZ . I inherited this same machine from my mother, who just passed. It came in a beautiful cabinet and is in great shape. I believe she got it as a present for her first anniversary (1949). Do you have any idea who would want this machine? I'm not looking for money, but I just can't bring myself to put in into a landfill.

Thanks for asking John. Please do not junk it. It would be such a shame after all these years that it has survived. One way to find someone who would enjoy using this would be to list it either on Craigslist or on Facebook Marketplace. Another way to find folks is to find a vintage sewing machine group on Facebook (there are lots) and see if you find anyone near your area that would enjoy it. I bet there are folks who would.

I have a 1948 kenmore 117-95 (not 959) by white that has not been run in at least 40 years. I came to your channel specifically to follow a restoration such as this, and play along at home. Can you give guidance as to the actual lubrication products you are using, the oil mostly but also that grease. Thank you for showing us all this.

I have a Meister 101 that looks similar to this one. I think both Anker and Meister are not very common. Can't wait to see your next video.
