That stupid tightener for the handle stripped on me and now I can't tighten it

I could see that being a problem, mine was enough trouble that I leave it tight as much as possible. If you can get just the bolt and the red knob from Step 2 or somewhere online (without the handle) it looks like the knob just presses into the handle.

Great video but people watching this make sure you have 8 washers before putting 2 for each wheel. They only gave me 5 (one for each wheel, one extra) and getting that thing off the rod after it’s banged on wasn’t easy.
