I appreciate your videos and the tips you give for correcting mistakes as you go. Both of my boys have watched your videos several times and started airbrushing their rigs. Haven’t flocked yet but I told them they should start with my decoys. 😂

Wonderful! That’s why I make them. I love hearing that they are helpful. Makes it worth it!

Right on. Been slacking on posting. Got a pretty good lineup of stuff coming down the pipe. Both flocking and just general decoy repair and making for the average hunter.

Great work, what length flock do you use? Several lengths online and want to do some woodpigeon here in the uk 🇬🇧

Ooh I made this thing a while back. Just got around to doing the editing and splicing. Still got the same raggedy threads though. Got em on right now!

Andy, glad so see another video! Do you flock drake widgeon? If so what do you use to bring out the amber color of the body? I've used an orange base paint with brown flocking and had good luck, but wondered if you had a different process or tips.

I have and I do. They are coming later this spring in their own video, drakes and hens both. I use sand paint with tan bisque flocking then layer burnt sienna and raw umber VERY lightly on the sides to slowly build up the color. Lastly I’ll cut in some white then overspray grey on the chest to give it that purplish/wine color. I don’t know why grey works for that. But it does. Personally, I think wigeon are about as difficult as it gets when it comes to flocking and airbrushing decoys. I have some pictures of them on my facebook page, Two Rivers Counterfeits Waterfowl Decoys, and the Decoys Flockers group has several as well.

I flocked my mallard heads using flat rustolium and mallard green flocking but it sparkles. Any tips on how to get rid of that?

Use gloss black and black flocking then airbrush the green on.
