I’m subscribed so I can see the trailer. Video. We haven’t purchased it yet, still thinking.

@@garycurt6821 I'm working on the video now - should have it up in a day or so. I should have bought it all together to save on freight (the trailer was over $200 for shipping to Michigan). I'm glad I bought it - very easy to move around and the leveling is SUPER easy.

Out of a million videos I've watched over the years, this is the first one that I didnt scream "why dont you say/show ALL of the thing you are doing" You sir have a brain, congratulations, I just bought one of these and it has no instructions with it, spent two days trying to find some, no luck, fortunately I did find how to align the wheels for the blade, which you didn"t add or some reason, but now I think I can assemble this thing, thank you, thank you thank you

Thanks Peace! I really appreciate the kind words and Thanks for watching! I did find something after MONTHS of using this that I'll share with you and I plan to make another 'what I learned' kinda video. You are right, I didn't talk about aligning the wheels - I did find that video online BUT I can tell you that I did turn it 5 turns to tighten it and ONLY rotate it the cutting direction because the blade will jump off the wheels. I had to repeat the process 3 times (loosen, rotate, then tighten) to make sure the stretching took place. Also, If you already haven't - open up the blade cover and make sure those two copper wire brushes are adjusted to lightly brush off the sawdust from the belts (both drive and idler). I had some build-up on there and realized that I have never adjusted those brushes to keep things clean. Good luck with your milling and keep an eye out for more videos!

Best tutorial video out there on these. Can you do a short video on the lift cable from start to end slowly with camera? Just follow it from lift eyes to pulleys and how it wraps around the bar. Great video.

Thanks, I appreciate it! It wraps from the behind but I can get that for you. Best to join the frontier sawmill group on facebook and post it there. Easier to just post a video directly from my phone - I just posted on this morning for someone else.

@@UTVBoondocker consider a video on final adhmjustments you made. Someone did this on a different model but don't know if it's the same.

@@EdwardEmmick Thanks, I'll do that. I've been milling quite a bit so maybe I'll just bring out the camera and record a bit. Thanks for the idea!

Congrats on the Mill! I'm not sure what other blades are available but I do know you can get some others. I would suggest joining one of the facebook groups and asking around - there are some great folks on there that have great combined experience.

how tall from the bunks to the top of the scale (sawmill's highest point) is it? I'm not getting a trailer but concerned with head clearance when the mill's carriage is at it's highest point. Their customer service doesn't seem to have an answer for me

I will get this for you - just waiting for some of the snow to melt from the past storm we just got. Stay tuned...
@UTVBoondocker
@UTVBoondocker 2 жыл бұрын
Finally was able to measure this for you. The tip of the scale when raised up as much as I’m comfortable with it 76” from the bottom of the tracks (as if the mill was sitting flat in the ground). It can go up another 6 inches but the cable rubs. I’m working on a video with measurements now so I’ll have that up as soon as I can.

How much did you pay for that with the better motor and trailer.
@UTVBoondocker
@UTVBoondocker 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, when I ordered this in the spring of 22 the OS31 was the only one that I could get right now with the bigger motor/electric start, etc. So I ordered it. The trailer came later and I just ordered it over the phone with frontier. Can't recall the price but if you call - they can give you all the details.

I didn't see anyone reply what the blue line is for. It's to set for top once the top cut is made then use it as you cut down. Instead of trying to math the size off red line. Also since you didn't use the leveling feet it's worth mentioning...the directions are wrong. Put them on before you assemble the whole carriage. It's heavy to pick up after to out them on.
@UTVBoondocker
@UTVBoondocker Жыл бұрын
Those are VERY good points, especially the leveling feet. Honest, I didn't lookup what the blue line was for and I appreciate the information update. After using the mill for over a year, the scale is ... eh, ok at best. I'm exploring some other creative options for the scale - lots of other videos on the topic. Thanks for watching and your comment!
