The most comprehensive and thorough training on how CORRECTLY install paver which only 10% of contractors follow because they usually don't understand what they are doing and why they should be doing it in such a way: hence the failures you see all around.

Great video, possibly the best on KZbin regarding this topic! 2 questions- when blowing polymeric sand (prior to wetting it down), is it recommended to leave a little more than the 1/8th depth between pavers? Asking because I would assume when blowing the surface, a small amount of sand will blow out from in between. Lastly, does this video apply for setting cobblestone pavers as well i assume? I appreciate the information! I can’t say no to a challenge and I’ve been granted an opportunity to create a beautiful back patio, fire pit and seating area. So id like to make sure I get this perfect.

Thanks so much! For your first question, yes-aim to sweep polymeric sand to sit about 1/8” below the paver’s rounded or chamfered edge. When blowing the sand, a bit may lift out, but this final depth should help maintain stability. For cobblestones, it’s best to keep the sand level 1/8” below the point where the edge begins to turn vertical. Good luck with your project!

Can I use crushed concrete (21AA) as a base in Michigan?
@UnilockLtdАй бұрын
Hi there, that is a great question! 21AA natural or 21AA limestone is preferred over 21AA crushed concrete. The reason for that is that 21AA crushed concrete is not as hard of a material making it susceptible to degradation, also 21AA crushed concrete has a higher likelihood of contamination from undesired substances mixed with the concrete either prior to or after crushing. Hope this helps!

What color was used on these umbriano pavers? Also what color paver complements these installed pavers? Tx
@UnilockLtdАй бұрын
Hi there! This is Umbriano in Summer Wheat. The warm beige tones in this particular product really go well with any color paver. Feel free to check out our blog on our website about Choosing Paver Colors for your project! unilock.com/design/how-to-choose-the-right-color-for-your-pavers/

Do you recommend adding gopher wire under the pavers in locations with high gopher or more activity?
@UnilockLtd5 ай бұрын
Hello, thanks for reaching out. It's not recommended to place gopher wire under pavers during the installation. The procedure generally involves installing the pavers first, then the edge restraint, followed by channeling in the rodent fence. Hope this helps!
