when the line doesnt cross the d10 level how can we obtain d10 ?

Two possible options: 1) make an assumption on the smallest particle size based the known knowledge of the material, which means you essentially are adding an assumed data point (x=assumed minimum particle size, y = 0%) to the curve; 2) rerun the sieve analysis using additional smaller sieves to get additional data points.
