Brother, I need your advice. I have done a 2 inch suspensio lift on my Prado. Now I have to change my tires to All terrain tires. I want to keep the tire size same as stock tire size 265/65/R17. Will keeping it same be a good idea on road and off road. Thanks.

Yea bro. It’s a good size. After deflation the tyre footprint increases lengthwise more than widthwise, and that’s what matters on sand. Most people think wider tyres give better footprint. 265 is a perfect number. 285 gives a better look but doesn’t give much of a driving difference than 265. More than 285 isn’t good for differential. Puts more stress. So net net, your choice of tyre is perfect for both. The only thing we should keep inn mind if we increase the height more than 2.5 it’s better to go for wider tyres or negative offset rims or wheel spacers to make the car wider to increase the stability at side angles. For 2inch lift you don’t need to widen it. Just drive for sometime and be used to the new geometry of your car. All the best.

How to avoid oversteering in sand?
@torqueconverter2 жыл бұрын
Keep a control on your speed. In case you feel it’s oversteered, slow down. It will also avoid chances of unnecessary pop outs. Sharp turns in desert anyway isn’t a good idea.
