When I switch coaches, I was asked to go back down to 22 lbs from 34 lbs. I had to do all the stretch bands, light weight bow, only long rod shooting, it was quite intimidating at first. However, I was able to have a better alignment and using more of the correct muscles while developing my physical strength and endurance. I recently moved up to 26 lbs limbs. I shot close to my PB which was shot with my 34 lbs limbs just before the new year. I think my form is looking better, people have said I looked more aligned! I think it is bearing fruit. I managed to rank top 70 in the UK this past year after shooting for 3 years. Hopefully with the form change and the hard work I try putting in, it will pay off at the end :) I no longer feel embarrassed in front of novices for going back to my first bow. I think the process is very worth it.

Been coaching juniors on entry level archery half a decade. Concentration and Distraction definitely define how good one progress. Strength is not the key which most people think it's the most important. Frustrations comes in when they started good then drifts back into their old habits.

I needed this right now. This coming week I think I'll go through each step on a different day and build up

Great video, just don't know how beneficial your videos are to me and my Archery team. We use the Genesis Compund Bows.

The little Genesis bow is an excellent teaching tool. I used it for years with 11 -13 year olds in class at school. With it, and its low draw weight, you can teach kids proper alignment and technique without the fatigue factor setting in. It does take a lot of patience in teaching this to younger archers.

Hey NuSensei I did my first archery tournament today. It was an 18m indoor 30+30 arrows. I watched countless of your and Kaminskis’s videos and I’m really thankful. I scored a 449 out of 600 and wanted to ask you what you think. For info i started about 2.5 months back and have been doing 3 sessions per week. I have been using a stabilizer rod for a long time and 3 sessions before the tournament i started using a sight. My bow is a club bow around 26lbs. Our coach sent us out because it’s being organized by our club so the atmosphere is more chill and we can get used to that environment. What do you think? Thanks for the videos :D
