Adorable! I have a sleeping pile of pigs to paint and I really liked how you approached it.

This is beautiful as always. Would it be possible for you to let me know what you use to seal your pastel work? ❤
@KirstyRebeccaFineArt4 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 I don't seal my work with anything because it's not necessary for the the way that I work on Pastelmat (also because it gets framed behind glass anyway) Most pastel artists won't seal their work because a lot of sprays alter the colours and don't really seal the pastel in anyway

Hey dear please make videos on KZbin more often cuz there are very less people who explains pastels that clearly. N please tell me did you ever used canson Mi-Teintes touch? is it close to pastelmat.
@KirstyRebeccaFineArt4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I'm honestly making as many videos as I have time for between my day job and Patreon haha Canson Mi-Teintes Touch is not the same as Pastelmat (although a lot of art stores will tell you it is) Mi Teintes is a sanded paper, Pastelmat is not (it's a completely unique surface) Some people like Mi Teintes though, so it's worth a shot but you won't get the same results as Pastelmat, unfortunately!

How do you get the sketch onto the paper?
@KirstyRebeccaFineArt3 жыл бұрын
The way that I suggest getting your outline down accurately is with the transfer method. You can print your reference photo or use the grid method/freehand to draw your outline on a separate piece of paper Then you can rub pastel/charcoal/graphite on the back of your printout or drawing and place it the right way up on your drawing surface Then you can just trace the outline and the pastel/charcoal/graphite on the back will imprint onto your drawing surface 😊 I have a step by step tutorial on Patreon under the "preparation" section of the library if that helps! www.kirstyrebeccafineart.com/patreontutoriallibrary
