I cannot be mad that we lost. I expected it. All I wanted was for us to not be embarrassed in this tournament and after hitting rock bottom, we went beyond what any reasonable French fan could have expected. We gave the US hell in this game. Kept it close for the most part, but never had the accuracy to take over. And then Steph killed us at the end. I still had moments I will cherish for the rest of my life, like the Yabusele dunk on LeBron. That was insane. Batum coming out of his final game for the French National team after giving his blood, sweat and tears one last time. A real captain to the end. Nando, who was a liability the whole tournament, rolled back the years to remind people why he is one of the greatest names in Les Bleus' history. Congrats USA, there's no shame in losing to the best after all. It was special to see the icons of the court one last time together.

Got to be arguably the best US men’s Olympic gold medal performance I’ve seen from a player. Curry with the GOAT performance. Maybe 2008 Kobe was awesome. This was more impressive being that he had a monster game vs Jokic Serbia. Then to come to home enemy territory in France and spoiled and broke the French 💔. You can believe what I'm about to write or not, I don't care, but trading James Harden was never Sam Presti's biggest miss. It was passing on Steph Curry and going with Harden in the 2009 NBA draft. In 2009 Curry single handedly led Davidson to the Elite 8. I mean com'on, wtf is Davidson?!? Really. When you think of elite college Bball, where is Davidson on your list? I say this with complete confidence when I say that had Presti picked Curry that year, OKC would have totally dominated the NBA for at least a decade.
