For 6 months, I have been posting Steph is Hollywood's "It Girl"; only the most phenomenally talented actress earns an Oscar nod with their debut film.(Watch out Cate) In many ways, she is inheriting her cinematic mother, Michelle's legacy - fearlessly confronting the status quo in old + tired Hollywood. So damn talented. And utterly adorable. And smart. Thanks to the interviewer for using the good 'old-fashioned' word "Actress." I like that word. In the current world where people are cancelled for using 'improper' pronouns or no pronouns or what have you, I find it odd that, since gender is the topic of the moment and everyone wants to assign themselves and others to a certain category, that we would disparage a perfectly good word for assigning a gender to an acting category. I refuse to call a woman officer 'sir' or refer to my mail carrier who is a woman as a 'mailman.'
