Correction, Stephanie is a singer! She’s still out here touring....well before the pandemic happened. She never got the recognition that she deserves. That voice is still powerful & I’ve seen her perform a few times. Still one of my favorites.

Ok so I watched this when it aired, yep-lol and I have it on VHS!!~. Definitely one of the best performances I've ever seen on TV!! So underrated but so incredibly amazing. Bravo Stephanie Mills... Such an amazing performance!!! A performer indeed since she was a kid starring on Broadway. The curtsy alone says it all. Love your reaction. She’s touched by GOD! Touches of Whitney and Dinah Washington,and like you said a performer. That seemed so easy for her. I wonder if you’ve ever checked out one of my favorite singers Eddie Vedder of the band Pearl Jam, my favorite song is Black performed on MTV unplugged. I hope you check it out. Most people will always say Whitney was the best singer ever but they can say that it's their personal opinion, Stephanie Mills is my favorite female vocalist and speaking of those 2, they were the last 2 up for the role of Dorothy in the Wiz, the creator said they both were amazing singer but Stephanie had something special and she got the role🤷🏾‍♂️
