The logans were always forgiven, no matter what they did. The Forrester men were good at judging their own family. When Brooke later goes to Eric because she is pregnant with Bill's child and wants to separate Eric from Taylor so that he can play the father for her child, Eric was understanding. Like he forgave Donna for betraying him with Owen. The old man really has his wits in his pants.
