I think we all hate buying & trying new foundations (or any makeup) that we don’t like & they just sit there & we wasted money. Thank you for doing honest & detailed reviews. I really want to try a few of these.

Thank you! I was in need of new makeup and I wanted to try something new so I bought the FENTY on your recommendation. I wore it for the first time today and loved how my makeup looked. I can see why you might mix the matte formula with this one. I had a slight sheen but my 51 yr old skin looked really good! Can’t thank you enough!

Hi Stephanie, I recently discovered the Revlon illuminance foundation and I am hooked! I have normal to dry skin and I find it doesn't overhydrate my skin and leaves a beautiful soft focus finish. I have received compliments about my skin when using it. I really hope it doesn't get discontinued. I think its one of the best foundations that Revlon has produced. The e.l.f. gives me less of a hydrated look but I still use it when that's what I'm after. I'm 57 and my skin is in good condition except for fine lines under my eyes. The Revlon does a better job of not accentuating those, so I highly recommend it to followers with dry skin. Apparently the Anastasia BH impeccable foundation is quite impressive. Have you tried it? I haven't as yet. Love your channel, thank you for your thoughtful content. Anna ❤

Hi Stephanie. I haven’t made it through this video yet but I’ve been watching your channel for a while and definitely enjoy your content. I wanted to make a video suggestion if I could - I would really like to see,an eye make up tutorial in a very slow-motion sort of format. I really like how you do your eyeliner or dark brown shadow to create sort of a faux wing. I used to be really good at makeup, including eyeliner, but as I have gotten older, I now have hooded eyes and I find it difficult to do eyeliner (or shadow that mimics eyeliner) with all the laxity I have in the crease area, etc. So these days when I do make up, I usually just skip eyeliner, but I do believe my eyes could look more open (and defined) if I could figure out a flattering way to do that given how my anatomy has changed. Also, thanks again for all that you do - I appreciate you!
@Queenmarie8812 күн бұрын
Hey .~~ just a suggestion but Risa Does Makeup has some in depth videos doing the shadow wing type liner that are really good. She’s a former makeup artist and mature content creator.

I have 4 out of 7 of these foundations, and I agree with your picks. Hourglass is the one that i think is a bit finicky, so it's my least favorite, but it's still really good. Elf, Revlon, and fenty soflit are the others.

I have dry skin and use Guerlain Parure gold primer, Laura mercier hydrating primer and also elf power grip primer in the green tube. Loved this video. I have drier aging skin issues I don’t want to emphasize so I steer away from really dewy or luminous foundations. I usually buy drugstore priced foundations and have found several LOreal ones that I love as well as the Revlon illuminance. The elf was a no go. It just didn’t look good on my skin and the shades ran too yellow.
@anne-mariegoose602613 күн бұрын
Oh no, I really don’t need to know about another good Chanel one. I LOVE Chanel but not the ££££ I just bought and wore the Elf for the first time today. Impressed. I haven’t got gathered foundation in my 11 lines and it’s the end of the day here. 🎉

Hi Stephanie I am loving the Dior forever glow as a radiant foundation that lasts all day. I have dry skin btw. What I also appreciate is being able to find a perfect shade match ( shade 00). When you're at the extreme ends of the colour spectrum it's very difficult to find shade matches and I get tired of having to mix my shade tbh. Best wishes x

Thanks Stephanie 😊 I don't tend to go for glowy foundations as I have an oily T zone too. I finally tried Haus Labs foundation though, after having it on my list since you first recommended it as a long wear foundation. I absolutely love it! It's quite radiant on me before it's set, so I'm so surprised at how long it lasts on me and it looks and feels so natural! I will probably have to save it for winter months, but to be fair, we have very few hot weeks in the UK! So I might be able to wear it all your round! 😊

I have only tried drugstore foundations, and I really like the Revlon Radiance because it's the best match for my cool undertone skin in #213. The Elf Soft Glam I got in five colors and kept only 21 Light Cool, but it's still a bit yellow for me. I just saw that Elf has a blue color corrector that may be able to cool off a foundation color. I also really like Loreal Nude Skin Tint in 3-4 and True Match in 2.5C. I just got Maybelline skin tint in 120 in the mail, so I will see, but I hear it's got radiance too. If the Revlon is going to be discontinued, I will buy another one since I like it so much.

I know you don't WEAR true full coverage foundations much, but I would love to see you review more of them, or maybe test how far you can actually build the medium ones up. This is your best foundation roundup yet! I'm almost 63 with drier rosacea prone skin that's sensitive in my T zone. I also work in healthcare and often need to wrar a mask. Lately I've been using concealer in areas I want to enhance and just leaving the rest of my face blank. No point in putting on products that are going to sweat off or be deposited inside the mask. I do take pride in my skin and put a lot of thought into my skin care so technically I can skimp a little (but sun damage does show through). Any thoughts? Sometimes I want to look a little more polished ...
