SOLDIER ShinRa Pants Tutorial

**SOMETHING TO ELABORATE ON: I realized after making this video that I should have phrased how to adjust the pattern a bit better. The instructional sheet that comes with the pattern explains this, so to quote:
“The default waistband of the pattern is 34 inches. The line on top of the pattern is 9.5 inches long. In order to figure out how much you need to lengthen or shorten the waistband, you need to know your hip size. Once you know it you can plug it into this formula: ((hip size + 4) / 4) = (total). Depending on the number you get, you may have to lengthen or shorten the waistband. For example, if your hip size is 38 (add 4, then divide the total by 4), your total is 10.5 inches. This means that you need to add another inch to the pattern, which you can add by taping another paper under the pattern between the gap that cuts the pattern vertically, and taping the pants one inch apart, all the way to the bottom. If your hip size is 32 inches, your total is 9 inches, which means you need to cut off 0.5 inches from the pattern."

I have a question about the mirrored vs non mirrored pieces. The front pant fabric pattern for the front pocket says to align to the 2 mirrored pant sections, but I'm confused because only with the printed side up, those patterns align. Then i noticed that for the pocket facing, if I have the wrong side up as in the video, it would be mirrored. So im wondering, are the patterns considered mirrored if the pinted side is facing up?

I think I figured it out partially. The front pocket template is saying to use it on 2 pant sections that are mirrors of each other. In other words 1 mirror cut and 1 non mirror cut. Is that correct ? I still can't see how I can have the pocket facing with the wrong side up for both sides though since the instructions don't call for 1 normal and 1 mirrored. Was I supposed to have a 1 mirror cut of the pocket facing/pocket front?
