I have literally experienced this and every single thing that you said was accurate. When the connection is there and the timing is not right, its best to just be willing to wait for divine timing. I’ve had to learn that just because l may desire the relationship at the wrong time, it’s just not worth the risk rushing and not letting God bring it to me at the right time. Honestly it’s best to shift your focus and work on the areas, goals etc. and be willing to wait for it while working on yourself.

As a guy this was helpful for me too. I met someone who I had the most amazing connection with. She was pretty much everything I've wanted and more. God was also at work between us. I experienced massive spiritual growth during our time together, including deliverance from addiction. I was convinced that she could be the one. But a lot of things you mentioned applied to us, including lack of stability, healing, and possibly maturity. And God also made it clear to me that it wasn't time for a relationship, and so we ended up parting ways. I don't know if God plans on bringing us back together, but I know that I won't settle for anything less than the connection that we had. The chances of her coming back or me finding someone better seem equally impossible to me, but I believe that God is a God who does the impossible. Right now my focus is on following him and wherever he's leading me next.

I’ve been waiting on this video! I wholeheartedly believe in right person, wrong time! I’m literally in this situation as I type. Our connection is like nothing I’ve ever experienced! We are real friends first, before anything else. We have talks often about us and what we want from each other if/when the time ever presents itself. We both are at points in our lives where we know we’re not ready to enter into a relationship. We’re both on separate self development and healing journeys. You’ve explained it all. We started as a long distance relationship 15 years ago. I had initiated the meeting in person. Took care of the tabs. Even initiate moving together. Took care of the finances and his school to better him. Have a child together. I had alway pour into the relationship. I had felt like it was always a one way. I finally realized that he isn’t right for me. Like you said, if a man loves you, he would do everything to get there to make you happy. I am at peace right now and ending this relationship. One thing that I’m learning during my single season is that timing is everything! If it’s not the right time then I’m cool with that because GOD’s timing is always better. I’ve met some good guys that made me think hmmmmmm all is not lost they do still exist! With that being said I’m very hopeful for the future and until then I will utilize this time to continue to work on myself.

This is my second time listening to this specific popcast. You're so on point. I'm in my kitchen spinning in circles, like i really can't believe you're saying these things word for word. I've met this person, found out I was his high school crush. After communicating with him, it was like instant i realized we had such a crazy connection. It got scary to the point, I couldn't understand why I'm feeling the way I do. It was as if, I was floating on air and could not stop myself. I found myself crying because i didn't like how I've became so vulnerable. Also as you mentioned, I'm that person that protects me at all cost. This attitude as I don't need anyone. This message is true. Me and my husband are going through this very thing right now. We have been sperated for about seven years he's finishing up medical school...and I wanted to attend ministry school... we had to make some adjustments. But now he wants to get back together and start a family, I was like this is God he has a timing for everything. There was a lack of maturity on both sides. I had my degrees but he was getting his career life together... but the man must lead and be a provider. This video should be the best supported. I recently met a really good guy who didn’t want to be in a relationship, just wanted to date. Based on a lot of things I think it was a right guy wrong time situation. He, I believe, has not healed from his ex. It’s clear he’s still hurting, but he’s in denial. Even with his initial stance on no relationship status we were getting close until his ex started stirring trouble again with his friends which led him to tell me he likes me, but wanted a break. I believe the ex is the reason he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. All I can do is honor his need for a break and pray that if he’s the right man for me God helps him heal and leads him back to me. In the meantime, I pray for peace and strength to move on.

Stephan hearing your video I felt like I went through all those stages. My previous relationship we met our last year of college and he was my first bf. Our connection was real with lots of love. From the start he told me after graduation he would leave to the army. I was blinded to it and thought “he’s here now. I want to try”. We were both told by our family to break up because long distance would be too hard. A year and half goes by and the conversation of long distance comes up and we choose to not talk about it and hope for the best. He leaves to seattle while I live in NC. We ended breaking up because I didn’t want to give up on my dreams here in NC and he didn’t want to give up on his military career. We didn’t know how we would get back together when we were going two separate ways so we thought letting go of each other will be best until we met again. This relationship made me closer to God and now that it’s over I feel like I want to grow even more closer to God.

I know this video was directed at the women, but man I couldn't help but relate to most of these scenarios with different women. And it's sad to think about all the relationships that didn't get a fair chance because I was worried about losing them, when I was actually hurting my chances by trying to make them work. This is very illuminating because I used to think that any relationship can work if the two just put in the work, but it's not that simple at all.

I am dealing with this right now and I fully believe this is right person wrong time. We had been together for 11 months. Things were going amazing, we were long distance so it was a little hard but we had an amazing connection. We met 5 times in the 11 months. He drove to see me it was about 11 hours. It isn't cheap and the money was part of the reason the break up happened. Another reason is age. Don't come at me for this but I am 16 and he is 21. I know a lot of people don't agree with it but we were ok with it (so were both of our families) so that is all that matters. We are both at different stages in life and it's as simple as that. Before we dated we were bestfriends, and still were bestfriends while we were together. Everything was just so easy. Nothing was forced. It was a chill relationship. We had our fights but always got through them together. It's been 2 weeks and 4 days since the breakup. We have not talked much, I tried to message him to see how he was and he said he didn't want to talk too me right now and that he needs more time. I hope that we can continue being friends whenever he is ready. I don't know if it would be better to just not talk and see what happens in the future. I truly care for this guy with my whole heart and I just KNOW there is something there. We were both there for each other in our darkest times. I truly believe we are Soulmates. Maybe not lover soulmates. Maybe bestfriend soulmates. idk. I am torn over this. I am getting better though. If anything I think he is the one hurting most at the moment. And I just wish I could be there for him and make him feel better. But he just doesn't want to talk too me. I am going to give him space and work on myself in the mean time. I love him with my whole heart. I have been in relationships before and moved on pretty easily but with him it is so much different. I guess I will just work on myself and if it's meant to be it will. I have faith.

This is me and my current beau. Different countries, and different priorities in our lives. We went our separate ways at the time; fast forward 18years, three failed marriages between us, and we’re back together with the experience and self awareness that we didn’t have at the time.

We were each others first love. I never knew how to be a good partner and she was more in love with me than I was with her, but I still really loved her. We met at a time when we were both broken and needed each other to survive. She loved me and took care of me and I did the same but I was selfish, immature and self absorbed with my own pain and I neglected the relationship and eventually it fell apart. I made mistakes but I did my best with what I knew at the time. Despite the pain and everything we went through, we always pushed through and our love for each other made it work while it lasted. It survived 3 years and we then became best friends until she met someone else and we decided to break all contact. Its been 3 years since our break up and this last year we had no contact at all. But I'm moving across the country and we got in contact to say goodbye as we never left on bad terms, if anything it was because we care so much for each other we knew it wouldnt be possible for the other to move on unless we did that. Turns out that she seeing a different guy and not the person she started with a year ago. As soon as we saw each other again, 2 weeks ago, I knew that I loved her with all my heart and wanted to get back together as we are both now in a healthy place mentally. I now know what a successful relationship takes and I want to do those things now. However she has started up with another man (new relationship of a few months) and says that she wants to take that path and that although she will always cherish what we had, she feels like she needs to follow this path with this guy. I can tell shes more cautious about this new relationship and its all so healthy and great with this guy it seems. Although I am heartbroken, I love her so much and want her to be happy. Its hard now I can give her the best version of myself and we still care so deeply but she is going down that path. I am still feeling fresh from the pain, I cant help but think that one day we will find each other again at the right time. We both said despite being so broken and the cards stacked against us that what we had was beautiful. Ive been so angry that we would meet at a time when we had to endure so much and it eventually had to fall apart, but we survived it and both now know its the reason we've forged on and created some success. I cant help but think though, that God would only send me me soulmate at such a dark time in my life and he would do the same for her and we both agree that without the other we couldnt have survived. She said one night she woke up terrified to see a huge angel standing in the room smiling down on us both with an amused yet comforting expression on her face, as if to say "If only you knew, you wouldn't have to feel like this. Its all gonna be ok. Don't worry". After we met she said she was going through a lot of emotions seeing me again and that it took her 2 days to get back to feeling normal but we agreed to see each other again and I put my heart on the line and told her what I was feeling on that recent second meeting. I knew I needed to even though I had a dream that she should pick this other current guy the night before we met again, and I had to tell her about that dream because it was a clear message from God. She said we cant ever be platonic friends there's too much shared history and that she'll always love me. I know you cant know, but I think in my heart that the timing was right for us to be there for each other in out darkest times, and in my heart I think the love we still share will bring us together some day and we can start from a place of happiness. She thinks that the rule of 3 is at play here between me, the next partner she had and now the current one and that what is happening at the moment is right for us both. I agree I knew before we saw each other again that I needed to move away for this next chapter of my life and she needs to stay, but I think we both need to experience a happy relationship and then when the time is right try again. I am 33 now and the first time she poured more of herself into our relationship than I did. The second time, just recently I put my heart on the line to commit fully and try again and made myself completely vulnerable to be with her. I know I deserve and need to feel this pain and it is just that I feel this heartbreak. She chose to keep that door closed and go down this new happy beckoning path with this new guy and I know I need to go home and be with my family and friends and maybe have some happiness that is outside of the 2 of us. I believe when we meet next time the 3rd attempt will bring us full circle and I hope God has this in his plans for us. Would love to hear your thoughts Stephan

I’m actually going through this right now. Him and I broke up, and it was a very hard decision because we had such deep and wonderful connection that we both cherished. However, his path in life is not the same as mine, and it’s truly heartbroken when he told me. We dated for almost 2 years, most of the time being long distance because I’m serving in the military and he’s back in the states, but we were both doing good and understanding each other. He recently realized that what he wants right now is not to settle down but to be single, by himself and just having sexual relations. He told me that it has been on his mind a lot, and he believed it’d be dishonest and unfair if he didn’t let me know. He’s seeking for something else, like you said Stephen, stability in his life to know what he really wants in life. We really love each other, and he knows that I want a long term relationship with him, but unfortunately, he’s not ready for it. It broke both of our hearts when he told me, and I haven’t stopped blaming myself if I haven’t done enough. It feels extremely difficult to move on, and a selfish part of me hoping that one day in the future, we would come back together, when things fall back in place. This relationship really taught me that there’s truly a right person, just not the right time. I really believe that he’s the one, but the universe doesn’t allow us to be together, hopefully not forever. Wish that I could have done something, maybe we could have waited a bit later in life, things would work out. But it happened, and a lesson learned. Thank you for your video. It really helps me slowing down the tears that I’m having right now and to do my best to move on in life.

@Stephan this has been a major struggle for me. I believe I have found the right guy but distance is a major issue so we decided not to start anything. However I have been struggling about whether or not to move on. Tbh, I may have unconsciously put up barriers to other relationships. My now ex boyfriend is leaving to Texas and I’m stuck here in Baltimore. He didn’t want to do a long distance thing because it wouldn’t be fair to either of us. He still wants to be friends and it makes me feel like he never romantically cared about me in the first place… the sucky part is that the distance is the only issue. We never fought, we never had any issues, and he told me that I didn’t do anything or say anything wrong. He said it’s just bad timing. If he wasn’t moving then we’d still be together and I’m so heartbroken… I hope he comes back to me but idk if he ever will care to… I also don’t want to be seen as an option in case things over there don’t work out.

Stephan as usual you spoke volumes and truth.I have waited patiently for this video in particular.And I agree with you on all you have said.I totally understand everything you have spoken.I met this man of God years ago,and I knew years in advance that their are good men out there,I always said that even though I was in a very painful,hurtful marriage.So when the Lord brought this man of God to me I was not ready at all.Btw my husband had abandon me and our 2 children, way before I met this man of God.I thought I was ok,healed,delivered,etc..,but I definitely wasn't.Past issues,flash backs,and just plain old fear cause me to sabotage the beginnings of what could have been.However it caused me to become aware of my underlying issues and fear.I thank God for showing me these behaviors and thought patterns, so He can heal me.Thank you Stephan for your spiritual words of wisdom. I'm looking forward to part 2....Shalom..Also this man of God has made me truly and I mean truly look at other men so differently.I refuse to date(I don't date anyway) or entertain any man because now I know that good men do exist.And if a man cannot match him or surpass him I am not interested at all!

It's ok that sometimes we meet right person in wrong time because there can be many scenarios which can take the connection to south such as misunderstanding, lack of maturity, miscommunication, emotional trauma, difference in love language. We have to accept that.
