Felt like this video was for me. This was so helpful. I'm having some trouble breaking away because he doesn't want to break it up. At the same time he doesn't want to change. And it's a non-negotiable. The "biological clock" is real, and I was single for so many years before this relationship.

I'm happily married now but the road here with my man was a rollercoaster to say the least. My now husband and I dated on and off for years. We loved each other so much, but it was toxic because we both had so much growing and healing to do. We had to separately deal with our issues. Fast forward years later, we reunited and are able to truly love and appreciate one another. Being equally yolked really makes a happy and healthy relationship. Don't be afraid to walk away. Don't be afraid to do the work and don't settle ladies. God has great things for you! ❤

He created the demons in my head: I forgave him for living a double life, stood by and helped him through difficulties. Yet & still, spoke to him numerously on how his negative behavior was killing the trust : carrying his cell on him most of the time while at home - said, he needed to look things up and reading / videos while in the bathroom, never picked up incoming calls from any friends / family members while I was present - he claimed, he wasn't comfortable talking with others around, the most he could have me around was 3 days without becoming fidgety & distant- blamed it on insufficient space since,residing in a studio apt., sometimes, feeling uncomfortable because he felt obligated in entertaining me, ugh. Said, he loved me but found this so hard to understand his conduct. The less I understood, the more I questioned until he resulted in becoming verbally abusive then, physically...that killed it! Talking to himself and when I left, he'd imagine me present and hold conversations...so he said...😪😱😭 For me, fear took the place of love so, I ghosted him until present. Man needs psychological help and I pray that one day he'll seek it in order to heal.

Great video. I agree that fear cannot allow you to attach to someone who is not invested into making an effort in the relationship. If there is a toxic environment that would be a reason to let it go, as it will eventually drain you and erode your spirit. Self-assessment is key, facing your own issues, and making peace with past mistakes. If both partners are pouring into each other wholeheartedly with a genuine connection that is the only recipe for a successful outcome. Thank you,as always.

If true love is not there and you are not bringing out the best in each other, not elevating each other, not inspiring each other- basically not living out your purpose together, then yes that is likely a sign that there is no connection there and therefore not worth staying in the relationship. The homebody situation was a great example. I had to deal with the same situation. From time to time I wanted to spend time outside the house with him and when I mentioned it to him, he said he's not that way. If I wanted to go to the beach it was a no, dinner no, family gatherings no. Amongst other issues, he was just too laid back. The relationship wasn't progressing because I always felt like I was forcing him to do things with me when there are men who get happy to spend time outdoors with their significant other. I spoke to God many times and nothing changed so the relationship wasn't worth it anymore. For now I'm just focusing on myself.

I feel so empty. He was more like my best friend. I wake up everyday missing him. There’s not a day that passes without me thinking of him and I just think he’s moved on. I’m hopeless, very sad, nothing excites me. It’s so dark.

❤️ this...spot on with the potential thing....we need to start basing of the reality....we set ourselves up to fail with our own expectations and them not living up to their potential....date what is front of you, not behind you or Infront of you base of the here and now and you won't be disappointed or in fantasy land.... personally I'm remaining single, cause anyone I meet, makes remaining single the more attractive option.....xo

Moving forward can only happen when the individual is emotionally mature and open minded. But above all else for me, if God is truly his head - then we are good. Seek godly counsel, engage in therapy for spiritual growth, and stay clear of bad company. They corrupt good habits. Life is too short to be in constant strife with anybody we say we love. And let love be without hypocrisy ! Romans 12:9. Too many ppl throw the word Love around and true love is treating your spouse the way you'd wanna be treated. Period. Character, conduct, & conversation also give clarity in evaluation. It takes two to make it right.

Amen!!! In addition surface change is not enough. There has to be respect, reciprocity, selflessness, communication. A behavior change may be temporary. Easy come easy go....a lot of woman think they cant do better because they feel "safe". Safe may come with possessiveness and control being misconstrued as being love. People move to fast. Real love shouldn't be hard. What does he do for the relationship? Is he just there? What does he do for you? How does he treat his loved ones? A lot of people are one way in public and another in private. Take your time and if someone pressures you then they aren't patient and love is patient love is kind.
@brownshugakale24103 жыл бұрын
@@2008LadyLaura you summed that up really well..the part that grabbed my attention "how does he treat his loved ones" ... Ppl wear the mask, men and women 🎭. Two-faced & that's when you know it won't work 'cause that's insight into some deeply rooted issues. That alone will cause you to question "what about this is positive and true love". The answer is simple, NONE. Double-minded, unstable & will try to undermine anyone who calls them out on it like you're crazy. NPD at it's finest. Sad, but once we stop believing their lies - we can acknowledge the truth. We deserve the love we give.

It's funny, it just wrote a pros and cons list on a guy to determine if I wanted to back track. And the cons outweigh the pros, so I blocked his number. I was really considering going back . Then he said something in a text and I made that list and that list just made me realize how toxic he was to me mentally and I am in the middle of fasting as well, so I definitely know god had a majority say in my action! Cuz I have never in my life wrote a list about any man....I normally just go off how I feel, the connection and attraction, but that wasn't enough for me..... I no longer trust him, I never listened to what he say to begin with, so i definitely know i would not let him lead me so it's a no go... God I am still waiting the devil tried to trip me up I'm blessed and I have no time for a man who wants to dim my light! I need God to see me..... and hear me not turn from me. Smh

I'd like to thank you Stephan and show my appreciation for your videos and the time you take to share your advice. For a while now I've been listening to you and such a comfort to hear you speak what is in my heart for how I believe a relationship looks and feels like. At times I felt my standards were too high and that I am such a minority in how I live my life...but you don't make me feel so alone there! So thank you again🙏🏻During my time of listening to you I engaged in a 6 month relationship. I have done much work on myself, much deep healing and thought I had healed enough to attract a healthy man. Can one heal ego? And the destructive behaviours that one has when they drop into ego? Along with multiple addictions? He says he wants to heal, to grow, to change, but 6 months in I'm still suffering waiting for his healing with very little effort and action shown on his behalf. By staying, supporting him and pouring my love into him, I have given him no incentive to change. A large dose of reality for me by you! Watching your videos helps me when I doubt myself or miss the man that is not good for me. You help me stay clear, stay strong and continue to focus on my growth, my healing, my connection to God/Divine consciousness and my purpose. Thank you so very much. Without doubt there are so many more people who feel the gratitude I feel for your messages and teachings. I trust you know the powerful effect you are having on people's lives in such a positive and healing way. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏻💚

Very welcome@@MeetStephanSpeaks Would you be interested in making a video on the topic of ego? And if you feel or have witnessed people healing from reacting out of their ego, rather than being able to have those much needed emotionally mature conversations in a relationship. Or is it just their separation from spirituality and God that causes the ego to have complete control over them? Thank you Stephan :) xo

Your locs look great. The last date I went on, the man had locs, unkept locs and looked as if he just got out of bed. Now if his hair was done, clothes ironed and actually fit it could've worked out. Unfortunately, he is a 44 year old that dresses like he's 24. Some men forget that they need to maintain their appearance, the same way women do.

Wow this hit a spot. I haven't healed yet. And I'm hoping he will. I wanna help him when I'm not even helping myself. Im a counselor but I need to hear this over and over again. I love him cos he's loyal, a man of integrity, principle. But he's hurt from past relationships so he closes up and I can't get thru. I get the bare minimum and felt like I'm ok with the bare minimum cos I don't wanna lose him. We were ok at the start but then the negative stuff came in and then I too became negative. Double whammy. We both aren't leaving. Still chatting twice a day (LDR) , calling each other twice a week. Small talk, sometimes serious, but not teasing and fun anymore. Maybe we're both feeling for each other. I don't wanna give up yet

I've been working so much on myself and healing, & I've realized that I've been waiting 10 & 1/2 years for a proposal, he says he's going to do it. Kept saying he was saving for a ring 5 years ago, said repeatedly he has the $ for the ring & that he could propose tomorrow, that feels like a slap.. then he messes up, I leave the relationship & he lures me back with apologizes & saying I deserve to be proposed to, and I fall for him again due to "deferred hope" we now live together & I've felt like nothing but a " financial helper" for him. I don't keep bringing it up, bc he says that if I talk about it, I'm either pressuring him or not patient or not supposed to know when.. or he gets frustrated. I'm tired of giving & getting breadcrumbs in return, & like you said " I stay out of hope or the potential..I just want to leave and not waste another 10 years
