Other. Paid for a funeral and had to financially support some family and friends. Glad to be able to help but wow, I’ve never seen numbers that high in my budget.

Longtime subscriber here from Toronto! Your content has fundamentally shaped my financial literacy with an emphasis on budgeting. I've used various budget tracking templates in the past but yours is by far the best and most helpful! Appreciate y'all 🧡

Happy Thanksgiving! Loved this so much! Appreciate the transparency! I'm also doing this and its refreshing to see you guys focus on trends rather than beating yourself up for one-offs! That is definitely something I struggle with! Moved from Toronto to London, UK last year and seeing this video makes me miss Canadian pricing for a few things haha
@stephandden3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, great point - we definitely try to focus on the trends instead of one-offs. It’s helpful to keep you motivated and actually stick with your budget. 😊 Ha, that’s funny - how has London been overall (other than expensive)?

In Australia, where I live, there are multiple car-share companies. Even Toyota has an iteration, whereby you're on a tier of monthly membership which determines your hourly or daily rate (I'm on the free monthly membership). If Canada/Ontario has these, they could be worth pricing compared to a standard car hire service. Also, i find it interesting that you seperate coffee and restaurants. I budget them as the one line. Might break it up for more insight

Mam what is your household income in Australia? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
@stephandden3 ай бұрын
That's interesting! We have a car sharing service called Zipcar that works in a similar way that we've thought about in the past, but what's held us back is the lack of insurance coverage for car sharing. How does the insurance work for you in Australia? 😊

Hi! Great video! This may be random but would you be willing to share which legal resources you used for your website? i.e privacy policy etc. Did you get the resources from an online source? consult a lawyer? Would love to see a video on your entrepreneurship journey and how far you both have come - thanks so much!

Yay for updates! Have you guys thought an outing putting your presto card on your phone so you never have to carry a physical card? Could help in the future for avoiding paying for transit with a credit card.
@stephandden3 ай бұрын
We have thought about it actually - we almost did it a few weeks ago, but then we realized that if you put it on your phone it the card becomes completely un-usable, and I guess we weren't ready to part with the card yet, ha! We still might do it in the future though 😊 Thanks for the suggestion!
@Marites.medina3 ай бұрын
@@stephandden I get it! Presto should give the option to have both but I guess they don’t want you to share the card.

How would you report money (for tax returns) you made on a HISA? For context, I'm a 22 year old student (unemployed).
@stephandden3 ай бұрын
Hi! Good question - you'll be prompted to include your T5 form (that the financial institution that you have your HISA with will have available for you). 😊

Which accounting industry/service line would you recommend for fresh graduates?
@stephandden3 ай бұрын
With audit or assurance advisory you have a bit more flexibility, as they're less specialized (at first). Tax on the other hand is more specialized, so you'd likely stick with that path if it's what you choose. In general, it's up to you based on what service line you find the most interesting and aligned with your skills 😊
