I went to a wedding in Oahu, and it was way more than this. Of course if you were really cheap about it and got a motel, that could save you $1k but everyone spent in average $3500. At least you’re in a whole different county, different continent.

@patrickdaigle99619 сағат бұрын
I have more in investments but not nearly as much as you guys 😅 I did also invest a part of my emergency fund (I know I know) It's invested in my TFSA, I keep some of it liquid, and risk some of it so it can grow overtime, and if I ever need it I can sell those stocks and have that liquid within 7days in which time I can use my credit card then pay it off when it liquidates.
@saratakkoush610919 сағат бұрын
How do you not worry about investments losing their value? I put all my tax returns into a Canadian dividend index fund (in my tfsa) and it's been up and down.. and it scares me

Hi My money plan is here for 2025, I have $6200(post tax and employer Roth 401K) , I am investing 700$ per month before I get paid. Planning on spending $3400 towards my monthly fixed expenses and saving contributions $ 800, and investing with fidelity $1400 and $ 600 for happy spending buckets. We have 2 kids so we go fun weekend every other week. Thankful for no credit card debt this year. Paid off $24k last 5 years and built 3 months emergency fund. Really grateful to God and all of you guys for motivation.

Great video I found it very helpful as I’m thinking about getting started using wealth simple. Do you have any videos showing how to withdraw funds from your accounts. Say maybe from your cash account to your everyday credit card ? Or from TFSA to a savings account account held at a different bank

Would you guys ever take out an investment loan to invest a large portion at once?
@stephanddenКүн бұрын
Are you referring to taking on debt and investing that money into the stock market? 😊
@candaceyoung749820 сағат бұрын
@@stephandden Yes exactly!! I was advised to do this recently and was wondering if it would be a good move to make up for lost time
@stephandden6 сағат бұрын
Good question! 😊 In this case you’d be attempting to find an edge, or something that can speed up the wealth creation process. Using debt as leverage has worked out for some, but it’s also burned a lot of people in the process. Focusing on maintaining a consistent investing strategy, and on how you can increase your income over the long-term (to make up for ‘lost’ time), will likely yield more favourable results without the added risk of borrowing. Personally, we would never take this approach.

If you’re planning on purchasing US listed stocks and ETFs, it’ll probably make more sense to just do that on a platform like Questrade (assuming you’re using Norbert’s Gambit). 😊

I have more in investments than savings, but still working on building my emergency fund. Becoming a homeowner made that much more challenging, to have 3-6 months of all expenses available in savings, so I haven’t been able to add to my investments since buying my home, but once my emergency fund is sorted, I’ll get back to it. Grateful that I started investing as a renter so I can at least have that money grow in the meantime!
