How did he trash him? He said it was his choice to fire Max from First Take and that there was no chemistry between them. It was honest and he stood by his decision. He had to go on those podcasts so that people knew the truth. Max is not made to debate sports. He was great in Around the Horn and SportsNation but debating about things other than politics and social issues is not for him.

First and foremost CC thank you for being the motivation for me wanting to ever pick up a football. GOAT. SAS, you are already a legend in this business and can articulate/debate with the best while keeping it entertaining and engaging. However, in my opinion you did not want Max Kellerman any longer because he is highly intelligent and can debate in your level, but more so that he would challenge you on social and racial issues that, in the eyes of some individuals, appeared as though you did not support the black community on some of those issues. Perception is reality and I know you know this. It was a smart move on your behalf, but some of the best moments on First Take was you and Max and my favorite time of that show.
