Jalen Brunson is a leader, a hero, and a "One Man Army" carrying the Knicks through the playoffs, at the end against the Miami Heat Brunson ran out of gas by the end of the 4th QT. NY Knicks lost the series. But Jalen Brunson is a winner. I am not upset with Jalen Brunson, just with the Knicks players failing to help Brunson at the end.

I'm not a Knicks fan, but I'm from NY. This season was a success for the Knicks' standards. Jalen Brunson was a godsend. He really proved a lot of people (myself included) wrong about the contract he received. He is worth every penny. If Randle is with the Heat, he will be a better player. Randle is reliable throughout the season and clearly he is not like "the guy" who could dominate on consistent basis but him playing on a team concept will help him. Randle is an emotional basket case. So good when focused but I think it's clear that he's not going to be the person to take the knicks to the next level. The knicks really need to get an offensive assistant coach to get the offense moving. Thibbs doesn't have the answer. Waiting until the shot clock is down to 4 seconds isn't going to cut it in the playoffs. This has been clear all playoffs yet no adjustments were made.

No the Knicks were Favored to win this Series before it started. The Heat win is considered an upset, a small upset but still an upset. Giannis started this whole BS of "successful" season. Only the championship is a success. Are you the owners of the team?? sure they are making loads of money for THEM its a success, for the fans it's another season ending with a loss and early playoff exit losing to an underdog Miami team.

Randles biggest problem is he has low basketball IQ. He will make a bonehead play or two specially clutch time. He also needs to adjust in the playoffs and develop a post game. For the Knicks to advance randle and rj need to be able to score at all 3 levels ala Jalen Brunson. Dude has a post game. A drive to the basket and can hit the 3.

Agree 100% about Julius Randle long before this series loss to miami. Good work ethic but never liked his game. R J Barrett had a bad game. It happens, too bad it was game 6. But he's young and can learn from it and come back stronger next year. Knicks need to aquire better perimeter shooting without compromising their defense. They can start by obtaining a real first option on offense to help Bronson which Randle is not. Atleast the Knicks are relevant again.

KAT is better than Randle. Better defense, less streaky from 3, and a better interior scorer. Randle can't reliably create his own shot in the playoffs. All he can do is shoot 3s off the dribble he's not fast/quick enough to blow past defenders and his post game is meh. Neither of them are #2 options on a contender, but I'd take KAT as the #3 over Randle every day of the week. Only problem with KAT is that he's gonna be making $50M a year, so I doubt the Knicks would go after him. Randle needs to go tho.

Miami found a NY weakness by playing full court pressure. The only guy truly capable of managing the ball without Quickley was Brunson and they caused RJ and Randle into many uncomfortable situations where they were coughing up the ball. Need a healthy Quickley, + another 3 and D / shooter who is more proficient than Grimes. The lack of offensive ability at the 2/3 position on this team is too much. Defense is great but shots win games.

I think it's going to require more than that if the Knicks want to win a championship and not just aim to be competitive, especially against teams that aren't as talented. Unless you have a Kobe or prime Lebron on your team, you're not going to win a championship with guys who have severe deficits in their games starting for you, especially if they are relied upon to be cornerstone players. And you definitely should not rely on streak shooters. RJ will never be able to shoot and create on a level that teams have to fear. Randle will never get it together mentally. And I hate to bring this up, but Mitchell Robinson's utter lack of offense makes it a burden for other players to carry. Because he has no offense, it's way easier to defend the Knicks' main scorers, cause Robinson offers no spacing either. This means if you want to move forward with Robinson, your scorers have to be that much better at creating and making difficult shots. They put Kevin Love on Mitch at times cause there is nothing to guard. Love is a dreadful defender. And he wasn't forced to defend. It's insane.

As a New Yorker, we’re definitely going in the right direction; I was personally just happy to get out the 1st round. We did mess up by not picking up Spida to go along with Brunson. KAT is the exact opposite of Julius Randle and is too soft for the Knick culture. We don’t have enough time to do anything with Damian Lillard (pun intended). We need to package a RJ Barrett/Randle and go get a Dillion Brooks, Miles Bridges and/or Jalen Brown. Make some noise in the next season, then see if we could attract a Superstar the following year

@@howardbent3971 Yes Dillion Brooks. He learned his lesson of from talking trash in the post season, but none of that has to do with him avg 14ppg, being one of the best wing defenders, in the league, and being 2nd team all defensive this year. With Memphis letting him go, he'd be an immediate upgrade to most teams, especially The Knicks. If we had him on Jimmy, i think the series changes dramatically. If we can control his behavior and not clash with Randle, we'd have a tough core to go with the culture
