Exactly I am so disappointed that this has been a media wide reaction. It’s ridiculous that this is how they are perceiving it. Detroit is an incredible city, but it has been down. My family is from this city and it’s part of my heritage and it’s empowering to watch it come back every year after it’s lowest point. I agree Dan Campbell is only trying to change the culture because that’s what this team needs. The city deserves it 100%, and no one deserves it more than the fans. We all want to see it but no one will admit it. Also does anyone else just hate Max Kellerman?

There's no need to worry, bro. Trust me- you're about to witness another 2 1/2 years of trash, in Detroit...and this is coming from a lifelong, die hard Lions fan, native to the city, born and raised. Matthew Stafford is (and Calvin Johnson WAS) the only reason we are and HAVE BEEN anything at all, since Barry Sanders retired. Our front office has been the worst in football, since the NFL merger in 1960. One playoff win in 60 years. Only two 100 yard rushing games the past 6 seasons- just a short testament to how TERRIBLE the coaching has been- which starts up top, in the front office. Even when we have good coaches (Jim Schwartz, then Jim Caldwell) we fire them. 🤦‍♂️ its becoming embarrassing to be a Lions fan.

Were like the franchise version of Jeff Fischer. 1 playoff win since 1957 is not due to the league being tough. Its due to incompetence. The Fords are terrible terrible owners and have no idea how to run a successful franchise. They have either consistently hired bad people or consistently put the people they've hired in a position to fail. Not that he would have ever come but if there was a team that needed to bring in tom brady to show a franchise what it takes to win its the lions. They need to hire someone with a proven track record for winning and leading a franchise give them 5 full years without worry about getting fired and then sit on their hands and watch.

@@steventrainor1302 I will agree with you on the lions ownership. I always wished Mike Illitch (spelling) would have found a way to buy the team. It's always been one thing or the other for the lions, but I can't give up hope and be pessimistic. If this is our guy, then I am going to appreciate his passion and hope for the best. I'd take him over Matt Patricia any day. Being a lions fan is a huge struggle... Being a detroit fan in any sport nowadays is a struggle. If we compete and I don't have to turn the channel by half time every week, I'll consider that a step in the right direction.

@@lynchpintm8928 I have to give lions fans that. They are loyal true fans. In truth I kind of wish they wouldn't. If they would quit buying tickets and leave that stadium empty a few weeks maybe the fords would get the message. I've watched them since Billy sims was there in 1984 and nothing but disappointment and heartache. Its true the red wings have fallen on hard times and the passing of Mr Illitch concerns me but they also had two different runs as one of if not the dominant teams in the league. Tigers only show up about once every 25 years but they have been champions. Pistons two different periods of championship caliber teams. Detroit is a great sports city. They deserve better than what the Fords put on the field year after year decade after decade.

He actually does have a solid resumé to belong as a NFL head coach. He had a long career as a NFL TE. He was the dolphins interim head coach for 12 games at age 37, where he coached well and was loved by the players. He had them doing the "Oklahoma drill" during practice and was known as a motivator. Dolphins players and fans wanted him to return as their permanent HC, and missed him even more when they replaced him with Adam Gase. He went on to be the TE coach and assistant HC for a successful Saints team where he's spent the past 6 years. Again was a favorite in the locker room and as assistant HC he was a key advisor to Sean Payton.. what do yall expect a HC candidate to have for experience before they deserve a shot?! He even says himself that he's not a X's and O's play designing type coach. He's a team manager and motivater that understands the NFL and players. You all praised Matt Patricia candidacy because he was such a play designing and calling genius and had spent several seasons as a DC... look how that worked out, he lost the locker room, hired yes men as coordinators, and kept trying to make players fit his schemes instead of designing your game plan around your teams strengths and weaknesses like Coach Campbell will do while surrounding himself with good coordinators and positional coaches. Yall are clueless sometimes.
