Being an international NBA Fan makes it hard to see just how much each fan base connects to their teams and the players that come through. I used to love ripping on Kyrie......and I still do, but...... I'm starting to feel a little bit bad for the guy. Don't get me wrong, I'm sick of Kyrie's antics and always thought he was locker room poison. Kyrie is one of those guys you meet in life who is above average in intelligence, but greatly overestimates his intelligence and self-righteousness. He also has this uncanny ability to be self-centered, arrogant, and compassionate at the same time. I kind of admire how money and basketball are priorites, but not the biggest priorities in his life. Was Kyrie disrespected in Brooklyn? In my opinion, yes and no. The organization got sick of his antics and the last straw was the stupid amazon link. He apologized, he shut up, and he seemed to regain focus. It's ironic how you can gain a tiny bit of sympathy for someone you loathe if you think the punishment was overly harsh and humiliating. Of course, every time I feel a miniscule amount of sympathy for Kyrie, he does something stupid like the press conference saying he did his job, was selfless, and left Brooklyn in fourth place.......WOW!
