Windhorst made great points when they were talking about the dunk contest … these trade requests do a lot for these individual players, but not the league. Say what you will management and all that, but Brooklyn is a NY market that went from a contender to a middle of the pack squad … KD/KAI are in great situations now and they have the right to do that, but it only benefits them, not the league
@smoothsavage2870

Nothing's good for the league. It's either good for the owners or the top players. There are a select few players where these things benefit them (like 10% of them) and the rest of the players are at the mercy of the owners. Look at Patrick Beverley or Mikal Bridges as opposed to Kyrie and KD.

NBA analysts especially on ESPN just pick and choose what to talk about not the actual issues on the court. Players getting techs for speaking to their teammates, referees are so bad they are affecting the outcomes and no one talks about it unless a certain player and team throw a tantrum. Small market teams are gathering picks that they can't eventually keep because the luxury tax will hit them so they eventually have to ship off their future stars to a team he doesn't want and when that player requests a trade Adam Silver and his analysts get mad.

I think we r missing 1 important thing all 3 stars left r we gonna sit here and blame just the players or we gonna actually give any blame to the front offfice and how they handled the players they had. Kyrie also signed a 1 year extension because he was taking responsiblity of what happen hoping to sign for a max extension he was playing his best basketball ever and showed up (Steven A) yet they were only gonna pay him if he won a championship meaning they didnt want him there thats y he left. It really also had nothing to do with money it was really about him being in bkn. They didnt even offer a full max they were gonna pay ben simmons over him thats crazy. I do think the media influences the buisness decisions of the nets. Think about it not paying kyrie signing a injured player for a player who can score 20 / 10 and play ben hasnt played a season with the sixers he playing like a garbage with the nets. The media hates the nets and praying for their downfall and the owner and sean marks r falling for their agenda🤦‍♂.

Bruh no matter how big a star you are, the way he spread anti semitic info and didn’t get the vaccine was not only embarassing it was shameful. Kyrie wasn’t even that good on the nets he barely played for them and left when he started losing too many in a row. KD left bc kyrie left. If Lebron did any of this and left the lakers when they were losing they’d be crucified. Kyrie ruins every team he’s on and KD shops around for rings.

@@Christine-ne4yf kyrie shouldn’t have been at fault for not taking the vaccine that was stupid. Second the “anti semiotic” situation was the nets and nba clearly attacking kyrie. They made him take all of these precautions and literally emasculating him but all the owner of the suns (that was literally SA’n people) had to do was give a bs apologize and had to sell the team only after the nba got some blowback from the sponsors. Kyrie has definitely did some stuff that people may not agree with but don’t act like the nets wasn’t wrong.
@francescosmith7859
@francescosmith7859 Жыл бұрын
@@walk_er shouldn't have been at fault yet it still was his decision and he was the only one on the team who declined. You can talk about heart and team all you want but check his actions and they don't match his words. How many NBA players missed games because they decided to attend a birthday party instead? Or how many missed games after Jan 6th capitol attacks? For the anti Semitic film, I don't know how you defend that one or blame the Nets here. They literally have protesters outside the building but they were just supposed to ignore it and let him return to work? Did you notice how they gave him time to respond and didn't suspend him until he held an all-time terrible press conference? The ADL literally returned his donation afterwards as his responses were so terrible. Ky's mad that he doesn't have a max contract extension but who turned it down before last season started? Remember how KD signed his max contract and the Nets had offers out to both Harden and Ky who choose not to sign? And it's nothing new. Ky has been a poor teammate every step of his career. Remember when he said he had so much to learn from Lebron yet two weeks later demanded the Cavs trade him or else he'll have in season knee surgery? Or when he promised the Celtics crowd at midcourt how they'd be together forever and then he ditched them the very next off season? So I'm not sure how you're placing the blame on the Nets. Seems like the biggest mistake they made was giving Kyrie everything he wanted before this year.
