It's very much like Tom Landry at the end. You can't deny the success he had and what he meant for the team. But it's also clear this isn't working anymore, and it's time. Cowboys would've never been a 90s dynasty if they rode Landry to the end. They needed the new vision of Jimmy Johnson to reach that level. You can't get nostalgic or sentimental in this business.

Now, without Brady to hold up the offense, Bill is below average. If you look around the league, there's lots of Coaches who are doing well with bad rosters. And there's lots of teams that have great defenses. That means nothing anymore if you can't score points.

Belichick can't stay on as coach. He benched Malcolm Butler for Super Bowl 52, he did not ever develop Mac Jones and/or Bailey Zappe, he decided to punt while trailing by 10 against the Chiefs in the second half of that game, DeVante Parker was benched multiple times when he should have been in the game, etc. This all stems from coaching. The Patriots' culture needs a reset.

But Belichick coached him, knew and saw he would be better than Bledsoe ever was. "Obviously as we all see now" Bill is the one who made QB'S Ultimate recievers, a La Crosse player an amazing reciever, White, Blount, Gronk, Hernandez, Moss. All he's done, as Brady is the greatest and NO-ONE WILL TOUCH WHAT HE'S DONE. He needed his coaches. Keep Bill, and go get some talent!!!!!!
