LeBron can't win can he? If he loses to Boston then it tarnishes his legacy. But if he makes the finals and loses again then oh my God he can never be the goat. I love how people talk about MJ being 6-0 but ignore the 9 other seasons he lost. But now it's just as bad if he loses before the finals but not for Jordan? He might as well sign with the Warriors next year just so all you hypocritical haters can shut the hell up. LeBron has been to more finals then MJ, in a equal amount of NBA seasons. And he was also younger in his first appearance on a team that didn't have a Scottie Pippen. I didn't see a 24 or 25 year old MJ making the finals with BJ Armstrong. Lebron went there with Eric Snow against a Prime Tim Duncan, Manu and Tony Parker. Shut it

Delan Stephen lol it's so biased. People talk legacy, but now KD is considered better after joining a 73 win team. No one remembers he bandwagoned his ass to a title. So honestly if LeBron did the same, it shouldn't matter. If rings is the only thing that matters, don't be mad if Lebron hot dogs his way with the rockers and warriors. The haters will have caused that with this 6 ring bs. People don't care how you got there or KD wouldn't even be in consideration. And honestly LeBron beating a 73 win team and coming back 3-1 Trump's any MJ season. But no one wants to talk about that.

The "legacy" arguments are terrible. For some, it'd hurt LBJ's legacy more to beat the Celtics but lose to GSW. Think about how idiotic it is that nobody would bring up his finals record if he were 3-0...even though that would mean he lost 5 times earlier on, to worse teams...he should have just choked vs the Pistons in 2007. That'd help his legacy apparently

do you think Cavs with all their role players playing well, can beat GSW this year? I don't see it. GSW is on another level that Lebron is expected to lose. now how close he makes it is whats gonna prove his worth. if they're getting blown out every game then Lebron haters have a right to bash him. but if he's losing within 10 points and he's putting up monstrous numbers, I don't see it hurting his legacy at all.

Because the competition is relatively weak, he's "supposed" to beat these teams, i.e. Indiana, Toronto, Boston ... none of which are led by a player anywhere near Lebron's greatness. So losing to them is a major hit on his legacy. In contrast, if he beats GSW led by Curry and Durant, then his legacy gets a major boost because he brought down two giants! Got to take the good with the bad.
@Brandonmccullen776 жыл бұрын
depannist no it is not. People are just way too hard on this guy. He’s human just like everyone one else. One playoff loss will not erase bringing a championship to a city after a 60 year drought. That defines his greatness and is and will always be his legacy. The nit picking is ridiculous. Even The great MJ had flaws to his career as well because he too was a human
@depannist6 жыл бұрын
Nobody said it erases anything. The question is whether it affects his legacy and it does. If a prime Lebron loses to a no name led Boston or Indiana, that hurts his legacy, no doubt about it. It doesn't just go unnoticed. Are the players around Lebron any worse than the players around Oladipo or whomever you want to say is leading Boston these days? Nobody will forget Lebron's accomplishments and they are many. But when you talk about legacy, you can't ignore the blemishes especially when they occur in your "prime". Nobody forgets Jordan returning and losing to Orlando, despite the short season for him. It's a part of his legacy whether folks like it or not.

Give Lebron a Scottie Pippen who can consistently score 20+ PTS in the Playoffs and play Lockdown Defense in the playoffs, Give Lebron a Dennis Rodman who can be a Rebounding and Defensive GOAT. Give LeBron a team that can function and a coach with a brain and he'd be 12 - 3 in the finals at least.

LeBronto Raptors Lebron has players that can give him 20+ points in the playoffs. He may not have lockdown defenders but he has some of the best offensive shooting talent in the NBA, arguably all time. Btw Tristan Thompson the last few years prior to this regular season was being compared to Dennis Rodman for his rebounding btw. TT had his minutes cut and lebron and others were running rebounds this year which cut into TT's numbers btw but look at what happened as soon as they gave TT his minutes back this playoffs, dude went ham and got damn near 10 rebounds in a half and has averaged over 10 in the last several games he's had most of his minutes back in the playoffs. I don't remember Jordan having a Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving, etc level players offensively btw.

Pippen was a nobody early in his career - Michael made him. Lebron had Wade & Bosh, then Love & Kyrie. His teams have been stacked more than MJ's Bulls ever was.

LeBronto Raptors lebron doesnt want a coach “with a brain” bc a coach with a brain would not let him run the point which would mean he woudnt get triple doubles and he probably wouldnt score over 20 per game

We remember the physical thrashing Mike received at the hands of the Bad Boys ft. Joey Do, the "Jordan Stopper." Those lessons transformed Mike into a basketball god. The young wirey upstart changed his body and developed his perimeter game to perfection and precision. Bron was always a physical marvel. His offensive development along with emotional growth turned "manchild" into a man. Those are legends and legacies that resonate.

This is the worst the Cavs have been in the past 3 years. If Pacers took them to game 7 I'm confident Brad and the guys can too. All these fucking Cavs bandwagons screaming Sweep are gonna be suprised. No one expected for GSW to blow a 3-1 lead. Anything can happen. Don't count us out till the series is over

The reason the 6-0 matters in NBA Finals when comparing MJ to LBJ is because when you're at the elite level the only thing that matters is winning titles and MJ is not only unblemished but they never went to a game 7. All the other narratives being brought up about 6 or 9 winning seasons, losing in the 1st round etc... is for analytics. LBJ has achieved statistics that MJ never had and MJ has statistics that LBJ will never get. So comparing LeBron to MJ comes down to the bottom line NBA Finals and let's be honest, the Cavs ain't beating either the Warriors or the Rockets so now where talking 6 NBA Finals losses.

MJ literally has double the amount of rings of lebron in the same amount of time. "its a team sport you clowns" so are you saying that when lebron makes it to the finals its because he is getting help? Just asking because it seems like if lebron wins he did it by himself and its not a team sport and when he loses all the sudden it becomes a team sport and he has no help.

Adam Nelson I disagree. I think Melo is complete garbage now and is the definition of a defensive liability. And I think PG was exposed for being a slightly better JR Smith. On Monday he can shoot, on Tuesday he’s off. Only reason they’d be better with Lebron is cuz it’s the east but both players got exposed this season imo

Funny how people just act like Kobe never played. This dude had almost more 60pt games (6) than Lebron had 50 pt games(10) and im talking career. Hell Kobe had 4 or 5 games straight where he hit 50 or more and in a total of 15 yrs Lebron only has 10. And those points didn't come from bully ball and just running over people for easy dunks, Kobe was waay more highly skilled than Lebron will ever be!
@Juscallmemav6 жыл бұрын
I've said this if it wasn't for LeBron being 6'8 260 give or take gee would not dominate the same. Remember when he lost that weight that one season he was not as effective as he normally is. His technical basketball skills are good but not great, he's just has that black panther purple heart herb in him makes him super human... By that I mean he's juicing! Naw I'm kidding I hope not..

This why I salute Bron. Everybody else get pass after pass or get this underdog view. Most don't take the game serious enough to elevate their game. They have a bad moment it's talked about for a day or so and all forgiven. Common sense Cavs don't stand a chance against the Warriors. Bron gone be Bron but they losing. Instead of DeRozan getting blasted as a player, the basic jokes happened instead of folks challenging him to work in the summer and develop his game

I hate how people bring up Jordan's championships vs Lebrons. Jordan had Pippen, a HOF top 5 all time in his position, the best rebounder ever, and a ton of excellent role players. The bulls were 10x better as a team than the Cavs or the Heat. Championships are a team effort, that's not a fair comparison.

What Stephen A.'s point is, and I don't agree with him often, is that it's CAVS vs CELTICS without Kyrie there. There can always be talk that the other CAVS players didn't show up and one LeBron cannot beat a TEAM. However, with the Kyrie and LeBron drama it then becomes Kyrie vs LeBron. And Robin beating Batman stands out more than Batman losing to the Teen Titans.
