Double standards are a real thing people. You understand that when you expect the woman in your life to do certain things a woman generally does, and expect to be able to “wear the pants” in certain situations a man typically does. There’s nothing that little woman was going to do to Dana White that was harmful and warranted getting hit. You control your emotions like a man is supposed to do, restrain her arms at most or walk away, and that’s that. Blame the alcohol? Don’t drink what you can’t handle. Simple.

Yeah also Dana White said "if I walk away its the fighters who are gonna get hurt by it"...First of all no they're not because whether you're there or not the fighters have a contract and they may even get paid more without you there, Dana. Also, in the court systems if a man murders someone the court doesn't say "oh were not going to throw him in jail because hes the financial supporter in the family and the family will be hurt if he goes to jail", absolutely NOT. The way you hurt Dana is by firing him or "making him resign", because that will stick to his legacy as part of the UFC and Dana White cares a lot about his legacy, cares a lot about his image and its the only thing that would hurt him.

@@JOK3RC4RDx I’ll say this. Dana did some great things to the UFC no doubt. But he didn’t do it alone. The UFC was a publicly owned company which means he has to adhere to a budget that the board constrains him with. When the UFC was taking off, there were other larger organizations as well. Luckily for the UFC, the US laws started to become less strict and other promotions started to fall under.

I don’t think they watch much MMA because the UFC usually doesn’t punish PPV stars for this type of behavior. Dana normally says let it play out in court. Normally only lower tier fighters get punishment or fired from the organization.

I dont anyone assauting anyone. Period. Why is no one addressing his wife who initiated that assault? 🤔 Why is Dana the only one taking the heat on this domestic assault. Women also need to control themselves, their emotions, and their impulses to put their hands on men. Am I wrong here? If a woman feels that she is equal to a man, then should she not expect an equal response when she assaults a man? Thoughts...

If a 6 year old smacks you, are you smacking him back? Bro, come on. His wife is not the face of a billion dollar company. If she was employed, she might also face repercussions but in this Country when men have put their hands on women, it's been game over. Dana has handled this the right way afterwards and he's not wrong, what should the punishment be? If his bosses are okay not punishing him, who am I to yell and disagree.

Tired of the Rhetoric about the man should not put hands on a woman. Yes we know that. BUT also no woman should put hands on a man! Equal rights right? The Wife's actions lead to Danas split second reaction. Not excusing Dana for his reaction, but we also have to call out the Wife for throwing striking Dana the way that she did.

The thing is this: If a low tier fighter does this, the fighter gets fired. If someone like Conor McGregor or Jon Jones does this, Dana and the UFC stand back and wait for the authorities to essentially punish them instead of the promotion itself. Since the president of the promotion fucks up, you can't expect the guy to punish himself and those above him haven't addressed the issue so it feels like nothing will happen to him.

No UFC fighter has been in a similar situation so the opinions of everyone claiming to know what would happen to them are silly. All else being equal I don’t believe any fighter would be dropped over this. And what do you think should happen if it were a female fighter and her non-fighter husband slapped her first and she responded with a punch? I bet you’d still say she was justified. Why should gender alone confer a license to physically abuse one’s partner?

Violating a woman....getting hit after hitting isn't being violated. I like how everyone is acting like Dana is the only one that committed domestic violence. His wife started the domestic violence situation. I'm not saying men should run around hitting women but what happened to the golden rule we were all taught as children, treat others how you want to be treated.
