But his analogy was actually off, because their fellow Hispanics were not trying to cut in front of them like he alluded. These are folks that have already left the line, how can anyone cut in front of them when they’re not in the line anymore? And that’s the problem. They are just victims of human nature, which can be guilty of wanting grace for ourselves while refusing to extend that same grace to others. My former room mate is one of them. She didn’t have her papers for years (her parents brought her in illegally when she was young), and now that she’s legal she’s one of Trump’s biggest worshippers. She’s completely forgotten where she came from. As a black woman, I put a lot of black Trumpers that came from poverty into the same boat. I will never forget where I came from, but these folks clearly have, and they scorn their own people for it.
